An absolutely fantastic piece of technology. This radio is a genuine tool. This is your companion in the woods, with many great devices built in for navigation through mapping, monitoring broadcast radio, communicating on UHF, VHF, GMRS or MURS. The ability to beacon APRS messages to a regular cellphone at home from your off grid location. This is the total package. My only wish is if they could modify the channel group to more than 16 channels in one scan group. In a metropolitan area that limits the number of repeaters you might want to monitor. I would suggest 24 or 30.
I seem to get lost in the menus frequently. I'll have to invest some time to write down a directory for this software. Prob a different directory for the HT as well.
I think I'd stay with the stock antenna and see if it meets your needs. Otherwise a Nagoya NA 771 or signal stick flexible antenna with female SMA ends. NA 771 affiliate link: amzn.to/3BUoXsk

I've heard a rumor that they've done that. Haven't checked it out, though. If you've updated your firmware lately, let us know. 73.
Will this pair to a Bluetooth wireless ptt button AND ear buds?
The BTECH version I can confirm does. Their bt ptt and AirPods Pro or their bt mic

You're not alone, I haven't been able to figure out a system and spend time searching for things I know are there. Cheers.
Curious what antenna would be best on them

Yesterday, I got an email from Vero saying they have a new firmware that gives us 32 channels instead of 16. There's another video idea for you, lol.
Thanks for the heads up.
