Arnel does not need to do that. AP has been the lead vocalist of this band for over 16 years, surpassing all the vocalists of Journey until this day, and he is 56 years old.

Just saw Journey for the very first time the end of February this year…..with Toto….man they put on a great show!!! Arnel sounds a lot like Steve Perry and that in itself is talent…if you ever get the chance to see these guys go see them….i get to see them with Def Lepard this summer and I’m super excited! A little while ago I read some comments that Arnell was being pushed too hard/ constant touring etc and his voice was shot certainly not here I love this version as much as Live in Manilla all those years ago ( I'v got the Blu ray) Absolutely fantastic💎💎💎👌☘️🇮🇪
Arnell is a great vocalist, Steve Perry needed a joint replacement operation and did not want to have it for several years. Time waits for no man ,after several years of patience.

OMG…give this great guy a voice rest…he’s so overwhelming overworked,overused by this great band.It’s pretty obvious he’s struggling in some tunes.He might lose his vocal cords if there’s no longtime rest.He is a treasure in this country but the way the band is taking advantage of him for their profits is so sad.They are in tour non stop in every state every month if Steve Perry is still with them he would have just quit pronto and voiceless!!

Apparently you’ve missed some great music! Pineda is nothing more than a karaoke singer found on TH-cam and no new music was released since Perry. Journey members Shon and Cain are feuding so they aren’t doing very well whilst trying to tour.
