I recently realized that Mary was _full of grace_ in BC... *Before Christ* Literally! Without Jesus as her Savior, she was full of grace, just what does this mean? She didn't have Our Lord to save her...yet. He hadn't died on the Cross for our sins or hers...yet, but she was _full of grace._ NOW, not _later_
Mary is *not* in the Bible, maybe for those who don't have eyes to read with.
Mary is not mentioned many times in the Bible but most of those times it is a very important point being made. It wouldn't be there if it wasn't important.

Wow, you should read Ephesians 2:8-10...it is not the Eucharist that conveys the grace of God to you, bur rather your faith. Believe is found 272 times in the New Tesatament. Faith is found 287 times for a whopping 559 times that faith is emphasized as the grounds of salvation. Believe the Word of God and be found free in Jesus Christ. The Priest cannot absolve your sins, only Jesus can through your repentance and faith in Him.

I joined the Catholic Church in April 1978 [towards the end of the Paul VI pontificate] after developing a devotion to Mary, partly as a result of several visits, as an anglican to the Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham. I was 19 at the time, an had struggled with anglicanism through most of my teens, made up my mind to switch to Catholicism in the autumn of 1977, and was receive into the Catholic Church the following April. I continue to visit Walsingham at least annually until 2016 when i had to stop on health grounds.

    To Jesus Through Mary!

    • @Alexander07865
      @Alexander07865 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

Nope, through Jesus to God the Father. John 14:6: “Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
If you go on your knees and communicate spiritually to other spirits and not God, that is worship and very dangerous. 1 Timothy 2:5 says “For there is one God and one mediator between man and God, the man Christ Jesus.” When you make graven images and bow down to them, that’s worship and forbidden by scripture.
CCC 2679: “Mary is the perfect Orans (pray-er), a figure of the Church. When we pray to her, we are adhering with her to the plan of the Father, who sends his Son to save all men. Like the beloved disciple we welcome Jesus' mother into our homes,39 for she has become the mother of all the living. We can pray with and to her. The prayer of the Church is sustained by the prayer of Mary and united with it in hope.”
Praying TO Mary is forbidden, but the Catechism endorses it.
Exodus 20:4-5. “Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.”
5 “Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;”
We are to worship God alone.
Jesus said, “You shall worship the Lord your God and him only shall you serve.’” Matthew 4:10.
When you use titles like “Queen of Heaven” and mediatrix and advocate, it’s worship.
Jeremiah 7:18 and Jeremiah 44 says the “Queen of Heaven” is a pagan goddess names Ishtar.
Mary is a humble woman not a pagan goddess but Catholicism has made her a goddess. Thus calling her the Queen of Heaven.
CCC 966: “Finally the Immaculate Virgin, preserved free from all stain of original sin, when the course of her earthly life was finished, was taken up body and soul into heavenly glory, and exalted by the Lord as Queen over all things, so that she might be the more fully conformed to her Son, the Lord of lords and conqueror of sin and death."508 The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin is a singular participation in her Son's Resurrection and an anticipation of the resurrection of other Christians:
In giving birth you kept your virginity; in your Dormition you did not leave the world, O Mother of God, but were joined to the source of Life. You conceived the living God and, by your prayers, will deliver our souls from death.”
Saying Mary is sinless is also unbiblical.
Mary in the Bible is a humble Jewish woman who gave birth to Jesus Christ which is a high honor. But the Catholic Mary is exalted like crazy. Catholics think Mary is sinless, even though Romans 3:23 says all have sinned, not most, not some, ALL. Mary even needed a savior. Luke 1:46-47. The Catechism teaches in CCC 966, that Mary was a virgin for her whole life. In Matthew 1:24-25, it says Joesph did not consummate the marriage UNTIL she gave birth to Jesus. Some translations say until she brought forth her firstborn. Jesus had brothers and sisters. Matthew 13:55-57, Mark 6:3-4. In Luke 2:21-24, Mary after Jesus was circumcised the 8th day had to offer a sacrifice of a pair of two turtle doves or two young pigeons because she bore a boy child. In Leviticus 12:1-3,8, it says the child is to be circumcised the 8th day, and you are to offer a sin offering with two young pigeons. It fits perfectly. 1 John 1:8 says, “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.” Mary never claimed to be sinless, so why do Catholics say that she was?
Only God can save our souls from death.
Isaiah 43:11: “I, I am the Lord, and besides me there is no savior.”
John 14:6: “Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
Acts 4:12: “And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”
CCC 969: This motherhood of Mary in the order of grace continues uninterruptedly from the consent which she loyally gave at the Annunciation and which she sustained without wavering beneath the cross, until the eternal fulfillment of all the elect. Taken up to heaven she did not lay aside this saving office but by her manifold intercession continues to bring us the gifts of eternal salvation . . . . Therefore the Blessed Virgin is invoked in the Church under the titles of Advocate, Helper, Benefactress, and Mediatrix."
John 14:26 says the Holy Spirit is the advocate and helper.
Stop worshipping creation and worship the creator.
Romans 1:25: "They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator-who is forever praised. Amen."

Mary is dead. Stop communicating with her.
Communication with the dead is forbidden in Scripture.
Deuteronomy 18:10-12: “Let no one be found among you who sacrifices their son or daughter in the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, 11 or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead. 12 Anyone who does these things is detestable to the Lord; because of these same detestable practices the Lord your God will drive out those nations before you.”
Praying to Mary even if she were alive would be worship and Idolatry anyway.
Jesus says to Worship God alone.
Matthew 4:10: “Jesus said to him, “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.’”

@@Alexander07865 Catholics worship the One and Only God, who is the Trinity (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.)
To insist that Catholics worship Mary or the saints or anyone or thing other than God is a sin against the commandment: “Thou shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.”
Jesus has given us His Blessed Mother as our great Spiritual Mother.John 19:26-27.
Revelation 12:17 reveals the Honor Jesus has bestowed on His Mother as Queen of Heaven., Our Heavenly Advocate who intercedes for us.
The doctrine of one Mediator, Christ, in no way excludes the invocation and intercession of saints. All merit indeed comes through Him; but this does not make it unlawful to ask our fellow creatures, whether here on earth or already in heaven, to help us by their prayers.
Romans 8:35-39 showcases that nothing can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus. Specifically, verse 38 emphasizes that neither death nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from God's love. This argument supports the belief that praying to the saints for intercession does not go against scripture.
      1. Unbroken bond through death: The mention of death in verse 38 affirms that even this ultimate physical separation does not rupture the bond between Christ and His followers. This implies that death, though a significant event, does not sever the relationship with God. Therefore, it can be reasoned that, just like believers on Earth, saints in heaven can continue to pray and intercede on behalf of those still living.
      2. Saints in heaven: The concept of saints in heaven, being part of the body of Christ, is strongly supported by the New Testament. Hebrews 12:1 describes a great cloud of witnesses and Revelation 5:8 portrays the elders in heaven offering the prayers of the saints to God. This demonstrates the active involvement of the saints in heaven and suggests their ability to intercede for those on Earth.
      3. No separation from God's love: Since verse 39 affirms that nothing in all creation can separate us from the love of God, this includes the saints in heaven. Praying to the saints for intercession can be seen as an expression of relying on the love of God, which will not be disrupted by anything, including death.
Romans 8:35-39 supports the belief in praying to the saints for intercession. The passage assures us that even death cannot sever our bond with Christ, and since the saints are part of the body of Christ and remain in His love, they can continue to intercede on our behalf.
The Bible reveals that the saints who have died aren’t disconnected from and uninterested in those who are alive on earth
      Old Testament Example:
Jeremiah 15:1-Long after their deaths, Moses and Samuel are depicted pleading for the Israelite people on earth
      New Testament Examples
Revelation 8:3 - The prayers of the saints rise up before God, and then God acts on earth.
John 15 - “I am the vine, and you are the branches.”
St. Paul - We are the “body of Christ.” It doesn’t make sense that death would rupture this bond.
Hebrews 12:1 - The saints are a “cloud of witnesses”
Intercession for Others Isn’t Optional for Christians
Love of God and love of neighbor go hand in hand. The saints are our neighbors and our brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ. When we grow in fellowship with our fellow Christians, we grow in fellowship with Christ. This is the vision of the Church that the New Testament gives to us.
2 Corinthians 1:11-St. Paul commands the Christians in Corinth to pray for him.
1 Timothy 2:1-Timothy commands the Christians to pray for each other.
      James 5:16 tells us,
The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
How much more availeth the prayer of one perfected in righeousness?
How is it then for someone who is opposed to mediators and intercessors between man and Jesus or considers it forbidden and excluded to preach about Jesus like a hypocrite hypocrite?

    • @catholictruthreplies
      @catholictruthreplies 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@Alexander07865 Hello, thank you so much for your reply. Intercessory prayer is not divination, conjuring spirits, or necromancy. We aren't asking the saints or Mary for lottery numbers or prophesy. We do not engage with a medium in order to ask the saints to intercede for us either. Prayer is also not synonymous to worship, rather it is a petition, asking for something. We agree that worship is to the Triune God alone. Us asking the saints to pray for us is no different than if I asked you to pray for me. Another thing to be clear about is that the saints are more alive than we are here, for our God is the God of the living, not the dead. Jesus is our sole mediator between God and man, but not our sole intercessor, otherwise we would not be able to intercede for one another on earth, nor could the Holy Spirit intercede for us with His groanings within us. The saints are still part of the mystical body of Christ that we are all part of, physical death does not separate them from Him.
Hope this helps, God bless you.

The approach to the Blessed Virgin Mary is definitely a difficult issue for Catholics and Protestants trying to get on the same page. This video shows how important the Blessed Virgin is to Catholics by bringing in the Old Testament.

Some other interesting remarks made by Martin Luther... 🤣🤣
      The Blessed Virgin Mary...
"The great thing is none other than that she became the Mother of God; in which process so many and such great gifts were bestowed upon her that no one is able to comprehend them. Thereupon follows all honor, all blessedness, and the fact that in the whole race of men only one person is above all the rest, one to whom no one else is equal. For that reason her dignity is crowded into a single phrase when we call her the Mother of God; no one can say greater things of her or to her, even if he had as many tongues as leaves and blades of grass, as the stars in heaven and sands on the seashore. It must also be meditated in the heart what it means to be the Mother of God."
      - Die Erklarung des Magnificat - 1521.
The first Protestant loved and honored the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Mother of GOD. Why haven't all of the rest of Protestantism followed his example in honoring her?
Martin Luther wrote the veneration of Mary is inscribed in the very depths of the human heart
September 1522.The veneration of Mary is inscribed in the very depths of the human heart." [Martin Luther, Weimar edition of Martin Luther's Works (Translation by William J. Cole) 10, III, p.313.]
"Is Christ only to be adored? Or is the holy Mother of God rather not to be honoured? This is the woman who crushed the Serpent's head. Hear us. For your Son denies you nothing." [Martin Luther
Christ, our Savior, was the real and natural fruit of Mary's virginal womb . . . This was without the cooperation of a man, and she remained a virgin after that.
Christ . . . was the only Son of Mary, and the Virgin Mary bore no children besides Him . . . I am inclined to agree with those who declare that 'brothers' really mean 'cousins' here, for Holy Writ and the Jews always call cousins brothers.
A new lie about me is being circulated. I am supposed to have preached and written that Mary, the mother of God, was not a virgin either before or after the birth of Christ . . .
Scripture does not say or indicate that she later lost her virginity . . .
When Matthew [1:25] says that Joseph did not know Mary carnally until she had brought forth her son, it does not follow that he knew her subsequently; on the contrary, it means that he never did know her . . . This babble . . . is without justification . . . he has neither noticed nor paid any attention to either Scripture or the common idiom.
Because Jesus is the Davidic King, Jesus elevates His Mother as Queen of Heaven (Rev 12) just as the Queen-Mother was highly exalted and given a prominent place in the OT (1 Kings 2).
Even Martin Luther preached after his break with Rome on the Feast of the Visitation (July 2, 1532) --
"She, the Lady above heaven and earth, must have a heart so humble that she might have no shame in washing the swaddling clothes or preparing a bath for St. John the Baptist, like a servant girl. What humility! It would surely have been more just to have arranged for her a golden coach, pulled by 4,000 horses, and to cry and proclaim as the carriage proceeded: 'Here passes the woman who is raised FAR ABOVE all women, indeed above the WHOLE human race.'"
Five years later, preaching on the same feast day, Luther said --
"She was not filled with pride by this praise...this immense praise: 'No woman is like unto thee! Thou art more than an EMPRESS or a QUEEN....blessed above all nobility, wisdom, or saintliness!'"
(LUTHER'S WORKS 36:208; 45:107 as cited in REFUTING THE ATTACK ON MARY by Fr. Mateo available from Catholic Answers)
      Heinrich Bullinger, Cranmer's brother-in-law, Zwingli's successor said:
"What pre-eminence in the eyes of God the Virgin Mary had on account of her piety, her faith, her purity, her saintliness and all her virtues, so that she can hardly be compared with any of the other saints, but should by rights be rather elevated above all of them..."
French Reformed pastor Charles Drelincourt said in the 17th century --
"We do not simply believe that God has favoured the holy and blessed Virgin more than all the Patriarchs and the Prophets, but also that He has exalted her above all Seraphim. The angels can only qualify as servants of the Son of God, the creatures and workmanship of his hands; but the holy Virgin is not only the servant and the creature but also the Mother of this great and living God."
(from MARY, MOTHER OF ALL CHRISTIANS [p. 89] by Calvinist theologian Max Thurian who later converted to the Catholic faith)
The titles of "Mediatrix" or "Co-Redemptrix" for Mary have not been officially defined so those dates are wrong. They do reflect the Marian piety and devotion of many great Popes, Saints, and Doctors of the Church
      John Calvin
Helvidius displayed excessive ignorance in concluding that Mary must have had many sons, because Christ's 'brothers' are sometimes mentioned.
[On Matt 1:25:] The inference he [Helvidius] drew from it was, that Mary remained a virgin no longer than till her first birth, and that afterwards she had other children by her husband . . . No just and well-grounded inference can be drawn from these words . . . as to what took place after the birth of Christ. He is called 'first-born'; but it is for the sole purpose of informing us that he was born of a virgin . . . What took place afterwards the historian does not inform us . . . No man will obstinately keep up the argument, except from an extreme fondness for disputation.
Under the word 'brethren' the Hebrews include all cousins and other relations, whatever may be the degree of affinity.
      Huldreich Zwingli
He turns, in September 1522, to a lyrical defense of the perpetual virginity of the mother of Christ . . . To deny that Mary remained 'inviolata' before, during and after the birth of her Son, was to doubt the omnipotence of God . . . and it was right and profitable to repeat the angelic greeting - not prayer - 'Hail Mary' . . . God esteemed Mary above all creatures, including the saints and angels - it was her purity, innocence and invincible faith that mankind must follow. Prayer, however, must be . . . to God alone . . .
'Fidei expositio,' the last pamphlet from his pen . . . There is a special insistence upon the perpetual virginity of Mary.
Zwingli had printed in 1524 a sermon on 'Mary, ever virgin, mother of God.'
I have never thought, still less taught, or declared publicly, anything concerning the subject of the ever Virgin Mary, Mother of our salvation, which could be considered dishonourable, impious, unworthy or evil . . . I believe with all my heart according to the word of holy gospel that this pure virgin bore for us the Son of God and that she remained, in the birth and after it, a pure and unsullied virgin, for eternity.
      Heinrich Bullinger
Bullinger (d. 1575) . . . defends Mary's perpetual virginity . . . and inveighs against the false Christians who defraud her of her rightful praise: 'In Mary everything is extraordinary and all the more glorious as it has sprung from pure faith and burning love of God.' She is 'the most unique and the noblest member' of the Christian community . . .
'The Virgin Mary . . . completely sanctified by the grace and blood of her only Son and abundantly endowed by the gift of the Holy Spirit and preferred to all . . . now lives happily with Christ in heaven and is called and remains ever-Virgin and Mother of God.'
      John Wesley (Founder of Methodism)
I believe... he [Jesus Christ] was born of the blessed Virgin, who, as well after as she
brought him forth, continued a pure and unspotted virgin.

I would ask _"how many times must something be mentioned in the Bible for it to be _*_BIblical_*_ ?_
I once pointed out to a friend the Biblical quote _"All generations will call me blessed"_ he answered.
"But she said that!" Which I asked, "isn't it in the Bible? What difference does it make who says it?" He had dismissed a Biblical passage as unimportant.
Some people too easily dismiss passages they were either taught to ignore or don't understand. They forget that not only thousands of years separate us from these people, but also belong to a different culture. They modernize and oversimplify what they read.
The usage of "woman" for _His_ beloved mother by our Lord Himself highlights this. But today this is supposed to be an insult? Consider the person making the insult and to Whom.
Does anyone truly believe He of all people would humiliate His own mother? The Person who told us the two most important Commandments? Or the Commandment to Honor your parents. He is insulting His mother!

      This is it right here.
I've talked to folks who outright reply I don't know what that verse means but I definitely know it can't mean what you claim it means.
Then they refuse to discuss the verse any further and go on their merry way of ignorance.
The deeper I get into my Catholic faith the more it blows my mind to realize just how much of the Bible the "Bible Alone" people tend to ignore.

Jesus loves and honors His mother. Why shouldn't you?
Do you think Jesus doesn't want everyone to honor His mother? Why would you think that? Do you truly believe that Jesus would be mad at anyone for loving His mother? Does that sound like how Jesus would act?
Of ALL the women in the history of the world that He could have chosen, Jesus chose Mary to be His own Earthly mother. How special would she have to be for her to be chosen by Jesus out of the tens of billions of women who have ever lived?
The _Ark of the Covenant_ contained three things: 1. An ephah of Manna (bread) from Heaven. 2. The tablets of the Law (Ten Commandments). 3. The budded staff of Aaron, representing his royal priesthood.
Mary, the _New Ark of the Covenant_ carried in her womb, three things: 1. The Bread of Life (Jesus). 2. The Law (Jesus). 3. The high priest (Jesus).
Mary *IS* the _NEW ARK OF THE COVENANT_. It's in the Old Testament, as well as the New Testament.
*(2 Samuel 6:9)* And David was afraid of the LORD that day; and he said, “How can the ark of the LORD come to me?”
*(Luke 1:43)* And why is this granted me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?
*(2 Samuel **6:15**)* So David and all the house of Israel brought up the ark of the LORD with shouting, and with the sound of the horn.
*(Luke 1:42)* and she exclaimed with a loud cry, “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb!”
*(2 Samuel **6:14**, 16)* And David danced before the LORD with all his might; and David was girded with a linen ephod. . . . King David leaping and dancing before the LORD . . . (cf. 1 Chr 15:29)
*(Luke 1:44)* For behold, when the voice of your greeting came to my ears, the babe in my womb leaped for joy.
*(2 Samuel **6:10**-11)* So David was not willing to take the ark of the LORD into the city of David; but David took it aside to the house of O’bed-e’dom the Gittite. And the ark of the LORD remained in the house of O’bed-e’dom the Gittite three months . . .
*(Luke 1:39, 56)* In those days Mary arose and went with haste into the hill country, to a city of Judah, . . . And Mary remained with her about three months, and returned to her home.
The temple and tabernacle were holy, and this was especially the case with the holy of holies, where the ark was kept. The presence of God always imparted holiness (Dt 7:6; 26:19; Jer 2:3). The furnishings of the tabernacle could not be touched by anyone, save a few priests, on pain of death (Num 1:51-53; 2:17; 4:15).
The high priest entered the holy of holies only once a year, on the Day of Atonement (Num 29:8). A rope was tied to his leg in case he perished from improper behavior (Lev 16:2, 13), so that he could be safely pulled out. Uzziah merely reached out (quite innocently!) to steady the ark of the covenant when it was toppling over, and was struck dead (2 Sam 6:2-7). Others died when they simply looked inside of it (1 Sam 6:19; cf. Ex 33:20).
Thus, by analogy, it was fitting and proper for Mary the ark of the new covenant, Theotokos (“bearer of God”), who had the sublime honor of carrying God incarnate in her womb, to be exceptionally (perfectly) holy.

Mary was difficult for me as a Protestant discerning conversion to Catholicism. The one teaching in Catholicism that kept me away from the Catholic Church had already been refuted (it wasn't Mary, it was divorce and remarriage) so now my heart was open. I had already seen 1 Timothy 3:15 which refutes sola scriptura. But what about Mary? Where is Mary in the Bible? For most Protestants, they will say "where in the Bible does it say she's sinless? " or"Where does it say she was assumed into heaven " or any of the things they say. I now see their comments as a hardened heart. I didn't do that. I went to prayer (that's how I started seeing the Catholic Church in the Bible). I asked God to help me understand. I know your Church has truth but i don't understand about Mary. It wasn't long until God led me to Dr Brant Pitre and how the 1st century Jews understood Mary. I was blown away by Dr Pitre explanation.
Yes, I can defend these truths against Protestant attacks, but most won't accept it because it is different from what they were taught. Its different from what I was taught too but I didn't let that stop me from knowing the real truth.
    Mary is sinless
    Mary is the New Eve
Mary is the New Ark of the Covenant
Mary is the theotokos, the Mother of God
So thankful that after 55 years as a Protestant and 30 as an ordained elder in the Presbyterian Church, I am now Catholic for almost 4 years and will die as a Catholic.
I pray for all our separated brothers and sisters to open their hearts. To be humble and pray for understanding when they see Catholic teaching different from what their Protestant church says. If we're both using a bible, one is right and all others are wrong. The Bible says only the Holy Spirit can reveal the truth in Scripture and not by personal interpretation.

That is wonderful how you came to find your way to being Catholic. For those who are not literate , unable to read , the early Catholics who are followers of Jesus , it is this simple - The Catholics now, are the same group of people who had followed Jesus when He was alive - and it came even before the bible was written - the first Catholics. It is simple - we continue to follow only Jesus - and with St Peter as our first pope.
For those who have read the bible - the real bible of the Catholics , from Jesus, not from a Martin Luther and etc..... Mary was mentioned many times and I do not understand why protestants say she wasnt mention in the bible but they give high regard to those who have written the bible -
The bible protestants read may not be the same bible the Catholics read , the same way like the Quaran from Muhammad claiming to be from God / Allah. It is entirely different.

    A few thoughts and questions.
    1. When does Paul call himself terms like “co-redeemer” and “co-mediator”?? Yes he calls himself a co-worker, or a co-laborer (I Cor 3) and an ambassador or a representative (II Cor 5). Those things do not approach redeemer or mediator. Paul himself wrote that there was one mediator, as I’m sure you know. I understand God chooses people to do His work and to bring the gospel to others but I don’t believe it would be proper to refer to those people as co-mediators or co-redeemers, at least not in the Biblical sense of the words. What are the references of Paul, or any writer, referring to himself or other people as co-mediators? I ask sincerely, not sarcastically.
    2. Maybe the book interacts with this, but if Wisdom personified as a woman in Proverbs 8 is a type of Mary, how do you deal with “when he prepared the heavens, I was there” wouldn’t that suggest that Mary, at the very least, pre-exists her earthly body and is present at creation? I’m of the persuasion that there is a large tradition of thinking that proverbs 8 is a personification of the Eternal Word of the Father.
    3. I understand the use of typology and clearly, through Jesus’s use and Paul’s use, it is a valid way to interpret scripture. But the question is “Can the church, post apostolic age use typology to dogmatize topics?” With very little didactic teaching in the NT, is typology enough to make these Marian topics dogma? I would say no. When you think long enough and search long enough, you can find similarities in almost anything. Conspiracy theorist do this all the time, they find patterns and trends and connect things in a way that seems convincing. This is not to say Catholics are conspiracy theorists, it’s merely an illustration to prove that parallels can be found without God intending there to be parallels. Statements like “through Eve’s disobedience we are made sinners and through Mary’s obedience we are made righteous” are a massive leap under the name of typology. Paul had a chance by to tell us that in Roman’s 5 but he didn’t. That doesn’t necessarily mean it’s not true but man if it was this important, so important as to say “no Mary, no Jesus” then you would think he would mention it.
    4. This idea of “no Mary, no Jesus” can be extrapolated to its logical end. “No Abraham, no Jesus.” No Jacob, no Jesus. No David, no Jesus. Don’t all these people, and their obedience, play a role in bringing the messiah to the earth? They obeyed and God used them to carry out his redemptive plan. Soooooo? 5. Last and least, “more blessed than other women” does not mean “better than other women.” Now I know “doctrinally” Catholics may agree with that but practically, especially considering her immaculate conception doctrine, she is presented as “the best woman.” Almost like Christ is the perfect man, Mary is the perfect woman… but “more blessed” doesn’t really have anything to do with Mary’s merits, but rather has everything to do with the extreme blessedness of the task she was given. She was given the greatest task ever given to woman, to bear in her womb the Eternal Son of God. How Blessed is she! What an absolute privilege, what an absolute grace given to her by God. She’s very blessed, actually the most blessed, that God would be gracious enough to allow her to bear His Son. Amazing. But not a commentary on how great she was, but a commentary on how Great of a task she was given.

Hell you cant even complete the sentence 1Timothy 2:1-5
Jesus is the one Mediator of our salvation, our only Saviour. But He is not our only intercessor, as the whole passage above clearly indicates. So the one passage that fundamentalists have used to deny intercessionary prayer, when read in context, actually backs up intercessionary prayer.
In fact 1 Tim. 2:5-6 says: “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.”1
Now let’s take a look at what St. Paul wrote in the preceding four verses: “I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men.” (1 Tim. 2:1) St. Paul is telling Timothy and all disciples of Jesus Christ that they are supposed to offer supplications, prayers, intercessions and thanks on behalf of all men. In short, Paul says Christians are to play a mediating role.
Next verse, picks up after “for all men”: “For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.” (1 Tim. 2:2) St. Paul is making clear, not only are we to make prayers of intercession, supplication, etc. on behalf of all mankind, but even those in authority over us, such as kings! Why does St. Paul exhort Timothy and all Christisns to play this mediating role?
Verse 3: “For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour.” (1 Tim. 2:3) Who is “God our Saviour”? Jesus Christ, of course. Paul is saying quite explicitly that the mediation he is exhorting us to make “is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour,” in the sight of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
So now we get to verse 4, which tells us why Jesus Christ would desire this from us: “Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.”(1 Tim. 2:4) The reason we ought to make these various prayers of mediation is because Jesus Christ desires, “all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.”
And now we come to verse 5, not cherry-picked out of context but within the context of St. Paul’s first letter to Timothy, chapter 2, verses 1-6: “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.” (1 Tim. 2:5-6)
In short, 1 Tim. 2:1-6 instructs all Christians to mediate on behalf of all mankind through different types of prayer, which are offered through the one mediator Jesus Christ. And in order to assuage any doubt about this, St. Paul adds: “Whereunto I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle, (I speak the truth in Christ, and lie not;) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity. I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.” (1 Tim. 2:7-8)
So is St. Mary, Jesus’ Mother a mediator via Jesus Christ? Are the other saints in Heaven mediating on behalf of those on earth, via Jesus Christ? John 2:3, 5 gives a good example of Mary playing a mediating role in Jesus’ ministry: “the mother of Jesus saith unto him, They have no wine…His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.” The Book of Revelation suggests the saints in Heaven also play a mediating role: “and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus,” the martyrs. (Rev. 20:4) And even moreso in Rev. 4:10-11, “The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying, Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.” And quite explicitly, Rev. 5:8, “and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints.”
And so, whereas Jesus Christ is the one mediator between God and man, St. Paul correctly understood that all Christians are called to share in this mediation of Christ through the offering of “supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks…made for all men.” (1 Tim. 2:1)
Christ is our one mediator/intercessor, yet, St. Paul commands all Christians to be intercessors/mediators. Then notice the first word in verse five: “For there is one God and one mediator…” And then in verse seven he says, “For this I was appointed a preacher and apostle.” What is an apostle if not a mediator? The very definition of apostle, according to Thayer’s Greek-English Lexicon of the New Testament, is “a delegate, messenger, one sent forth with orders.” That’s an essential part of what a mediator is. In short, St. Paul says we are all called to be mediators because Christ is the one mediator and for this reason he was called to be a mediator of God’s love and grace to the world!
Is this a contradiction? Not at all! The fact that Jesus is our one mediator does not preclude him from communicating this power by way of participation. The Bible also declares: “But you are not to be called Rabbi, for you have one teacher, (Gr. - didaskolos) and you are all brethren.” This text cannot be any clearer, yet James 3:1 and Ephesians 4:11 tell us we have many teachers (Gr. - didaskoloi) in the Church. The key is to understand that the many teachers and mediators in the body of Christ do not take away from Christ as the one teacher and mediator because they are, in a sense, Christ on this earth and they serve to establish his offices of teacher and mediator in him. As members of the body of Christ graced with a specific task by Christ they can say with St. Paul in Galatians 2:20, “It is not I, but Christ who [teaches] in me…”

Last and least, “more blessed than other women” does not mean “better than other women.”
All generations will call her blessed for she is blessed among women. Of all women, our Lord chose her holy womb, full of grace, as His own dwelling. The power of the Most High overshadowed the mother of our Redeemer and she was found to be with child of the Holy Spirit. Our Lord Himself honoured her as His own mother and we must honour whom the Lord honours. Blessed be her name, Mary, and blessed be the name of the fruit of her womb, Jesus.
The Lord will honour His own mother, blessed Mary, for all eternity & we cannot but follow His example and honour her as He does: hail, Mary, the Lord is with thee! He is flesh of her flesh & bone of her bone. We are born of Him & He is born of Her and of the Father. The blood which was poured out for us was blood of her blood. A spear pierced His side & a sword pierced her heart. Unless we eat His flesh, which is of her flesh, we have no life within us.
Hail Mary, who gave birth to incarnate Love and Salvation and who raised for us sinners the Hope of Israel. The Lord is with her. With her is Redemption, with her is Forgiveness for all iniquities. Blessed be her name by all generations!
Mary as the first Person To say Yes to Gods plan for redemption

For no creature could ever be counted as equal with the Incarnate Word and Redeemer. Just as the priesthood of Christ is shared in various ways both by the ministers and by the faithful, and as the one goodness of God is really communicated in different ways to His creatures, so also the unique mediation of the Redeemer does not exclude but rather gives rise to a manifold cooperation which is but a sharing in this one source.
The Church does not hesitate to profess this subordinate role of Mary. It knows it through unfailing experience of it and commends it to the hearts of the faithful, so that encouraged by this maternal help they may the more intimately adhere to the Mediator and Redeemer.
The Church’s perspective of Mary as subordinate, as any member of the faithful would be😍

Obviously you have a poor understanding of what the Catholic Church really teaches. The Catholic Church says that Mary was preserved free from sin by God in order to PREPARE her to conceive and give birth to His Son Jesus Christ. Jesus is NOT like any other human being. He is INFINITELY HOLY (just like His heavenly father). And so the woman who would have the privilege of conceiving Him in her womb CAN'T be like any other woman in the world; she has to be DIFFERENT from every other woman by being SANCTIFIED and PURIFIED in order to prepare her for this task. Therefore, it is DISRESPECTFUL to the dignity and sanctity of Jesus Christ to say that He can be conceived in the womb of a SINFUL woman. Also, when we say that Mary is SINLESS, we are NOT saying that she didn't need a SAVIOUR. How do you think she became sinless in the first place ? Do you think it was by her OWN power? No. It was by the GRACE of Jesus Christ. In other words, God SAVED her by giving her an abundance of GRACE: "Hail Mary, FULL of grace, the Lord is with you" (Luke 1:28) and it is this grace that SAVED her by preserving her from sin. Mary had a SAVIOUR, and that is the reason why she was sinless. If she didn't have a Saviour, she couldn't have remained free from sin because she wouldn't have the grace to make it possible. The work of a SAVIOUR is not only to save people AFTER they have become sinners. A SAVIOUR can also preserve or protect a person from falling into sin in the first place so that such a person never even becomes a sinner in the first place. The Bible confirms that God has the power to prevent someone from falling into sin (Jude 1:24). Lastly, to say that someone is SINLESS does NOT mean that such a person is EQUAL to Jesus Christ. For instance, we know that the angels in heaven are SINLESS, but that doesn't make them equal to God or equal to Jesus Christ

@@bibleman8010 See, I asked for a case in which, according to this video, St. Paul, refers to himself and others as play a role of co-mediators and co-redeemers. What you have provided for me is a case in which Paul encourages Christians to make intercessory prayer for others. I recognize that. I affirm that. Intercessor does not equal co-mediator. Why not just say Mary intercedes for us in heaven? I wouldn't have much of a problem with that. (but the Saints in heaven interceding for us does not mean that we should pray to them asking for their intercession, but thats a different discussion) Nevertheless, I see more similarities in what we believe than difference. Essentially its a distinction of terms. I would be careful in calling other people "mediators" because the Bible doesn't use that language and actually goes out of its way to say that there is only one mediator. instead, I would call people "ambassadors" "co-laborers" maybe even "intercessors."

Nowhere in the Bible doesn't say that Mary sinned. You quoted Luke chapter one saying that Mary needed a savior, and we agree that Mary needed a Savior, but Luke chapter 2 is not referring to Mary sinning or sin in any way. The word saved and savior are used all over the Bible, and most times, those words have nothing to do with sin but rather temporal savation (like being saved from things like war, or from being hurt, or famine, etc). Mary is using this word savior in a temporal sense. Read the context verses around it. She talks about the lowly being raised up, the rich being cast down, the poor being fed, etc. It's all about Jesus saving Israel. There's nothing there about sinning. So this is a passage that is misused oftentimes by Protestants inadvertently.

If you do it, its outcome is you will fall in love with God even more, you will become even closer to God and you will become christlike more quickly if you have a deep relationship with Mary not just with Jesus. It's impossible that if you become close to Mary, you will be drawn away from God. Why? Because the spirit of Mary is the Spirit of God. God lives in her. Archangel Gabriel told her, "The Lord is with you." (Luke 1:28). God completely controls her. Preachers who have no Spirit of Christ in his soul can't convert people because God is not with him because God is the One who converts people to Him not us. We are just instrument of God. If the Spirit of God lives in your soul, you can convert people or God will use you to draw people to Him. What was the Ark of the Covenant in the OT? It was the resting place of the Spirit of God in the world. Now, in this dispensation there is also a resting place for the Spirit of God. A place that is in the world. Mary is no longer in the world. But the "body of Christ" is here. What i am saying is that believers are the new Ark of the Covenant. The original temple had three main areas, the outer court, the inner court, and the holy of holies where the Ark was. Every believer Has a body (outer court) a soul (inner court) and a spirit (holy of holies) where the Spirit of God may rest. Also, St. Peter explains that we are the new priesthood of God under the one High Priest, Jesus Christ. So is Mary the resting place of the HS today? No, she is not.

No she didn't have other children.
People like to point to Mark 6:3 Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary and brother of James and Joses and Judas and Simon, and are not his sisters here with us?”
However, keep reading to chapter 15:40 There were also women looking on from afar, among whom were Mary Mag′dalene, and Mary the mother of James the younger and of Joses, and Salo′me.
Here is a different Mary who is the mother of James and Joses and a sister named Salo'me.
Now read John 19:25 So the soldiers did this. But standing by the cross of Jesus were his mother, and his mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Mag′dalene.
If we compare these parallel accounts of the scene of the crucifixion, we see that the mother of James and Joses must be Mary's "sister" the wife of Clopas.
On a final note, consider what happened at the foot of the cross. When he was dying, Jesus entrusted his mother to the apostle John (John 19:26-27).
It would be unthinkable for Jesus to disregard family ties and made this provision for his mother if these four “brethren”: James, Joseph, Simon, and Jude were also her sons.
This is just the tip of the iceberg, hope this gives some insight why we still call her the Virgin Mary.

This post is quite silly “IF” the poster actually read the document and understood the churches teaching on “marriage” which all bishops do, which is who this doc was written to…
      Fiducia Supplicans quote/excerpts
“…the Church does not have the power to impart blessings on unions of persons of the same sex.” Part 1.5
      I. The Blessing in the Sacrament of Marriage
      4. Pope Francis’ recent response to the second of the five questions posed by two Cardinals[4] offers an opportunity to explore this issue further, especially in its pastoral implications. It is a matter of avoiding that “something that is not marriage is being recognized as marriage.”[5] Therefore, rites and prayers that could create confusion between what constitutes marriage-which is the “exclusive, stable, and indissoluble union between a man and a woman, naturally open to the generation of children”[6]-and what contradicts it are inadmissible. This conviction is grounded in the perennial Catholic doctrine of marriage; it is only in this context that sexual relations find their natural, proper, and fully human meaning. The Church’s doctrine on this point remains firm.
II. The Meaning of the Various Blessings
      11. Basing itself on these considerations, the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith’s Explanatory Note to its 2021 Responsum recalls that when a blessing is invoked on certain human relationships by a special liturgical rite, it is necessary that what is blessed corresponds with God’s designs written in creation and fully revealed by Christ the Lord. For this reason, since the Church has always considered only those sexual relations that are lived out within marriage to be morally licit, the Church does not have the power to confer its liturgical blessing when that would somehow offer a form of moral legitimacy to a union that presumes to be a marriage or to an extra-marital sexual practice.

Mary is in the bible. Because obviously. The Mary that Catholics know by their theology and doctrine does not exist in Scripture; The Immaculate Conception of Mary, The Perpetual Virginity of Mary and The Assumption of Mary.
Mary was not born without sin or lived a sinless life.
Nor was Mary a virgin her whole life.
And, nor was Mary assumed into heaven.
Mary was so important to the apostles when they were writing their letters to the New Testament churches that she was only mentioned once after Jesus had ascended to heaven. (Acts 1:14)
Jesus on the other hand was named 335 times. Mary was clearly unimportant to the early apostles. She has no role in salvation.
She was an honorable young woman from Nazareth. She obeyed God and submitted herself to Joseph.

We know where Mary is in the New Testament; however, the importance you place upon Mary is not found in the Bible, such as she being a mediatrix, one who can hear our prayers and help us. This is a LIE FROM SATAN. Jesus Christ is the only mediator and advocate for sinners (1 Timothy 1:2-3) "There is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus who gave Himself as a ransom for all men-the testimony given at its right time." Did Mary die for our sins? Where in the Word of God are we told that Mary sits at the right hand of God? NOWHERE. Mary wasn't even recognized a a mediatrix until the second Vatican Council in 1962. We should be thankful, surely, that Mary, the handmaiden of the Lord, was obidient and gave hereself over to be used of God to birth the Christ Child upon the miracle placement of the seed in her womb. Beyond that nowhere in Scripture do the Apostles of our Lord direct veneration toward Mary. WHY ISN'T JESUS AS OUR ADVOCATE ENOUGH FOR YOU PEOPLE? You take away and you add to the Word of God. Your acts are shameful.

The importance we place on her is just honoring her as God did. The Bible says Mary is blessed among all women and blessed for all ages and so we honor her.
In terms of mediatrix, that's biblical too. Saying it wasnt invented until the 1900s is like saying the Trinity was never recognized as the Trinity or the divinity of Christ was never accepted until 325 A.D. Just because it was officially proclaimed at that time to deal with heretics, doesn't mean Christians didn't believe it beforehand. Same thing with the mediatrix.

Yes, we agree that Jesus is the unique mediator between God and man, and Catholics have taught that for 2000 years. However, that does not mean people cannot pray and intercede for us. Don’t you ask your friends, family, and pastors to pray for you? Why? If asking Mary and the Saints to pray for us interferes with the mediation of Jesus (even though that’s not what that means), then by the same logic, we cannot ask others to pray for us and we cannot pray for them if they ask. A mediator is someone you put between you and God. So it's a false dichotomy.
The truth is that according to the Bible, 1 Tim. 2:1-4, praying for other people is a good thing that pleases God. So we are allowed to pray for each other without interfering with the mediation role of Jesus. In other words, our loved ones can pray to Jesus on our behalf and then he takes the prayers perfectly before the father. Likewise, Mary and the Saints also pray to Jesus on our behalf and he takes all of their prayers perfectly before the father. It's the same thing. If no one can pray for you without interfering with the role of Jesus, stop asking people on earth to pray for you too.

Paul cited Psalm 14. What was the context? Paul tells us in Rom: 5:19 that some, but not all, were made sinners. Do you agree with Paul? Or have YOU abandoned his apostolic teaching?
righteous“Whoever receives you receives me, and awhoever receives me receives him who sent me. 41 bThe one who receives a prophet because he is a prophet will receive a prophet’s reward, and the one who receives a righteous person because he is a righteous person will receive a righteous person’s reward. 42 And cwhoever gives one of dthese little ones even a cup of cold water because he is a disciple, truly, I say to you, he will by no means lose his reward.”
Romans 3, verse 10 says, “…as it is written: ‘None is righteous, no, not one.’” Yet, James 5:16 says that the prayer of a righteous man availeth much. If absolutely no one is righteous, then who is James talking about? Luke chapter 1 says that Elizabeth and Zechariah were righteous before God. If absolutely no one is righteous, then how can that be? Is Scripture contradicting itself? No, the folks who interpret Romans as saying absolutely, without exception, no one is righteous, are misinterpreting that passage. They are failing to realize that the key to understanding Romans 3:10 is the phrase, “it is written.”
Here in Romans, Paul is quoting from the O.T., Psalm 14 to be exact. In Psalm 14 it says, “The fool says in his heart, ‘There is no God. They are corrupt…there is none that does good.’” But then that same psalm goes on to talk about the “righteous.” Well, if none has done good, who are these righteous the psalm is talking about? Obviously, when the psalmist says that none has done good, he is talking about the fools who say there is no God. He is not talking about absolutely everyone.🤔

There is a biblical Virgin Mary , but she did not stay a Virgin she was married to Josep after Jesus was born . The Roman Catholic Church is using a different Mary assigning her all kinds of names ,like our Lady , queen of Heaven , queen of good success , mother of God and you still call her a Virgin . The biblical Mary is not a second Eve nor the arc of the new covenant and she is not a head-crusher that pure catholic deception. I can read the Bible myself to know who Mary really is and she was never to be called what Rome makes her out to be and it is Idolatry . There is no Mary in the book of Revelation that is vain imagination . About the wedding feats Mary said to the servant do what He says you left that out . Ther is so much to be said about your guest John Weiss and his carnal not all correct interpretation of what is actually written in the Bible . By the way all we need to know about the real once Virgin Mary is written in the Word of God . Mary is not divine and she died in Christ she has no connection to the living that is a biblical fact everything else is religious delusion .

      Martin Luther
God did not derive his divinity from Mary; but it does not follow that it is therefore wrong to say that God was born of Mary, that God is Mary’s Son, and that Mary is God’s mother…She is the true mother of God and bearer of God…Mary suckled God, rocked God to sleep, prepared broth and soup for God, etc. For God and man are one person, one Christ, one Son, one Jesus, not two Christs…just as your son is not two sons…even though he has two natures, body and soul, the body from you, the soul from God alone. (On the Councils and the Church, 1539).
It is a sweet and pious belief that the infusion of Mary's soul was effected without original sin; so that in the very infusion of her soul she was also purified from original sin and adorned with God's gifts, receiving a pure soul infused by God; thus from the first moment she began to live she was free from all sin" (Sermon: "On the Day of the Conception of the Mother of God," 1527).
      John Calvin
"There have been certain STRANGE folk who have wished to suggest from this passage [Matt 1:25 - But he did not consummate their marriage until she gave birth to a son. And he gave him the name Jesus.] that the Virgin Mary had other children than the Son of God, and that Joseph had then dwelt with her later; BUT WHAT FOLLY THIS IS!
"For the gospel writer did not wish to record what happened afterwards; he simply wished to make clear Joseph's obedience and to show also that Joseph had been well and truly assured that it was God who had sent his angel to Mary. He had therefore NEVER dwelt with her nor had he shared her company....
"And besides this, our Lord Jesus Christ is called the first-born. This is NOT because there was a second or a third, but because the gospel writer is paying regard to the precedence. Scripture speaks thus of naming the first-born whether or no there was any question of the second. Thus we see the intention of the Holy Spirit. This is why to lend ourselves to FOOLISH SUBTLETIES WOULD BE TO ABUSE HOLY SCRIPTURE...." (Sermon on Matthew 1:22-25, published 1562)
      Ulrich Zwingli
"I esteem immensely the Mother of God, the ever chaste, immaculate Virgin Mary." [E. Stakemeier, De Mariologia et Oecumenismo, K. Balic, ed., (Rome, 1962), 456].🤢🤢

SO WHO WERE THESE "BROTHERS OF JESUS?"
      A. While James and Joses are mentioned as Jesus's brothers in Matthew 13:55, it is made clear in Mathew 27:56 and Mark 15:40 that their mother was another Mary.
Matthew 27:56 Among them were Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James and Joses, and the mother of Zebedee's sons.
This "other Mary" at the Cross, is revealed in John 19:25 to be the wife of Cleophas. Mary of Cleophas is therefore revealed as the mother of two of Jesus's so-called "brothers", James and Joses.
      B. In John 19:25, the original Greek states. "But by he cross of Jesus were the Mother of Him AND the sister of the Mother of Him, Mary the wife of Cleopas AND Mary the Magdalene." The precise positioning of the ANDs in the original Greek makes it clear that Mary the Wife of Cleopas, is also referred to as the Virgin Mary's sister. Since we know no-one has two daughters and calls them BOTH Mary, we know that sister here does not mean sister. The same would apply to "brother" with reference to Jesus.
      C. In the introduction to the Book of Jude, Jude introduces himself as: Jude, a servant of Jesus Christ, and a brother of James. If Jude/Judas were truly the brother of Jesus, why wouldn't he say so? He identifies himself in his letter as brother of James, but significantly not as a brother of Jesus, only as a servant. To have identified himself as Jesus's blood brother would have added enormous weight to his epistle, but Jude doesn't so identify himself here. We know the reason, because James and Joseph have already been revealed to be sons of the other Mary in Matthew 27 and Mark 15. Judas then must also be a son of this other Mary. Mary wife of Cleophas. So another of Jesus's so-called "brothers" is eliminated.
      D. James "Brother of Jesus" is referred to as one of the APOSTLES by Paul in Galatians 1:19. . We know from Matthew 10:2-4 that neither of the Apostles named James was actually a Son of Mary. So James, "brother of Jesus" cannot be a Son of Mary. He is actually James, Son of Alphaeus (thought to be another form of Cleophas)! James is a kinsman of Jesus, but not a sibling.
      A few more points:
      • In Luke 2:41-51, the twelve-year-old Jesus goes missing on a trip to Jerusalem, and is only found three days later in the temple. Yet in all this time no mention at all is made of any other children, even though the entire family made the journey together. If all the people mentioned in Matthew were actually surviving children of Mary, she would have had at least seven children younger than Jesus to look after! In fact both Mary and Joseph race back to Jerusalem to find him, through country filled with bandits, something they could not have done if there had been babies and other young children in need of care!
      • The people of Nazareth refer to Jesus as "the son of Mary" (Mark 6:3), not as "a son of Mary"
Finally, if James and Joseph, Simon and Jude, were children of Mary, and if Jesus had even more brothers and sisters, why did Jesus commit His Mother to the care of St. John at His death?
Mk 6:3 says, "Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary and brother of James and Joses, and Judas and Simon, and are not His sisters here with us?" We need to realize a few things here about these "brothers and sisters": #1, there was no word for cousin, or for nephew or niece, or for aunt or uncle in ancient Hebrew or Aramaic - the words that the Jews used in all those instances were "brother" or "sister". An example of this can be seen in Gen 14:14, where Lot, who was Abraham's nephew, is called his brother.
Another point to consider. If Jesus had had any brothers, if Mary had had any other sons, would the last thing that Jesus did on earth be to grievously offend his surviving brothers? In Jn 19:26-27, right before Jesus dies, it says that Jesus entrusted the care of His mother to the beloved disciple, John. If Mary had had any other sons, it would have been an incredible slap in the face to them that the Apostle John was entrusted with the care of their mother!
Also, we see from Mt. 27:55-56, that the James and Joses mentioned in Mark 6 as the "brothers" of Jesus, are actually the sons of another Mary. And, one other passage to consider is Acts 1:14-15, "[The Apostles] with one accord devoted themselves to prayer, together with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus and with His brothers...the company of persons was in all about a hundred and twenty." A company of 120 persons composed of the Apostles, Mary, the women, and the "brothers" of Jesus. Let's see there were 11 Apostles at the time. Jesus' mother makes 12. The women, probably the same three women mentioned in Matthew 27, but let's say it was maybe a dozen or two, just for argument's sake. So that puts us up to 30 or 40 or so. So that leaves the number of Jesus' brothers at about 80 or 90! Do you think Mary had 80 or 90 children? She would have been in perpetual labor! No, Scripture does not contradict the teaching of the Catholic Church about the "brothers" of Jesus, when Scripture is properly interpreted in context.
The Bible clearly says that Jesus had brothers and sisters, but the Catholic Church teaches that Mary was a perpetual virgin...how can you reconcile those seemingly different positions?Mk 6:3 says, "Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary and brother of James and Joses, and Judas and Simon, and are not His sisters here with us?" We need to realize a few things here about these "brothers and sisters": #1, there was no word for cousin, or for nephew or niece, or for aunt or uncle in ancient Hebrew or Aramaic - the words that the Jews used in all those instances were "brother" or "sister". An example of this can be seen in Gen 14:14, where Lot, who was Abraham's nephew, is called his brother.

Whenever you hear black people address themselves as? "brother" nowadays does it mean the people are literally siblings. You are making observations on a culture you know nothing about.
And Joseph was older than Mary (a LOT older) and had other children by his first wife. "Until" in Greek means up to the point, but not beyond necessarily. 2 Samuel 6:23- “Therefore Michal the daughter of Saul had no child until the day of her death.” Saul had children with his wife after she died?
edit: the womb of St Mary is closed as the Lord pass thru it.
Ezechiel 44:2 And the Eternal says to me: This door will be closed, it will not open, and nobody will pass there; because the Eternal, God of Israel entered by there. It will remain closed.🤦‍♂🤦‍♂

The Ark became the dwelling place of the presence of God [Exodus 40:34-35] Now notice how God the Holy Spirit overshadowed and then ind welled Mary. At that time Mary's womb became the dwelling place of the presence of God [Luke 1:35] Then The Ark contained the Ten Commandments [the words of God in stone], a pot of manna, and Aaron's rod who was the high priest that had a bulb on the end of it which when they pulled it out the bulb bloomed which represents Jesus's resurrection [Deuteronomy 10:3-5; Hebrews 9:4] Now look what the womb of Mary contained : Jesus who is the Word of God made flesh , the true bread from heaven , Jesus is the high priest who resurrected to life. So you can clearly see why the Church teaches typo logically that Mary is the New Ark and it gets worse for you the very same ARK had passed King David and when he saw this he danced and leapt for joy! just as with Mary when Elizabeth saw her and at the voice of Mary the baby in Elizabeth's womb Leapt for Joy! then David also said David asked, "How is it that the Ark of the Lord comes to me?" [2 Samuel 6:9] and then notice what Elizabeth asks, "Why is this granted unto me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?" [Luke 1:43] then The Ark remained in the house of Obed-edom in the Jude-an countryside for 3 months [2 Samuel 6:11] Mary traveled to the Jude-an countryside and stood with her cousin Elizabeth for 3 months!! Luke 1:56 Mary remained with her about three months and then returned to her home. !!!👏👏

, “So what is your question?” She said, “Why do you Catholics believe Mary was without Sin when the Bible says, “All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God” in Romans 3:23? I asked her, “Do you know the Bible well?” “Yes - I grew up Baptist.” “Good,” I said. “Let me ask you - what was in the Ark of the Covenant in the Old Testament?” “Three things,” she answered. “The Ten Commandments, the Manna from Heaven and the Shepherds Staff from Aaron, the brother of Moses.” I replied, “Wow, you do know the Bible - good for you! And Yes, you are correct, that in the Ark of the Covenant were three things - the Ten Commandments - some scholars call it with Word of God since God did write it with his finger into the rock tablets. Would you agree to that?” “Yes, you could call it the Word of God” Then the “Manna from Heaven is also called the “Bread from Heaven,” Right?” “Right,” she answered. “And the Shepherds staff - from Aaron who was the High Priest of the Levites - symbolized the High Priesthood - Right?” “Right,” she said. “So, who is the Word of God, the Bread from Heaven and the High Priest” “Why Jesus!” she answered. “Yes, Jesus was indeed in that Ark of the Covenant - because He was there before Abraham as we learned in John’s Gospel, and all things were created through Him and for Him as we learned in Colossians 1:16. Now, let’s go to 2 Samuel 6:1-7, where Uzzah was carrying the Ark with David dancing up ahead as they brought the Ark to Jerusalem. But the oxen stumbled, and Uzzah put his hand on it to steady it - and what happened to Uzzah?” “He died,” she said. “Correct - but Why did he die” “I’ll have to think about that” ”He died because nothing unclean could touch that Ark. Leviticus tells us that and so Uzzah had sin on his soul and touched the Ark and died.” “ That sounds right,” she said. “Let’s go about 600 to 800 years forward to a young girl named Mary who is told she is going to carry that same “Word of God” that same “Bread from Heaven” and that same, “High Priest” - Jesus! How in the world could she have sin on her soul? Would she have died just as Uzzah did? “I never thought of that” “🤦‍♂🤦‍♂

      Queen of Heaven
Much is made of the title Queen of Heaven by those who attack Catholicism and Marian devotion. The allusion is always to the pagan pantheons and to the mother of the gods, often mother in a very carnal sense of other pagan deities. The Canaanite worship of the "Queen of Heaven" condemned by the prophets is mentioned, as is the worship of Diana of the Ephesians, devotion to whom was exceeding popular before the Gospel arrived among the pagans. It is said that Catholicism at the Council of Ephesus restored this pagan devotion under the cover of devotion to Mary. The history of that Council given above shows the absurdity, and the intellectual dishonesty, of that claim! One might as well claim with respect to Jesus that Christians worship a mere man, since to arrive at this conclusion the Church's teaching must be ripped from its context and distorted to fit a preconceived judgement.
What then does it mean for Mary to be the Queen of Heaven? In the Old Testament monarchy the Queen of the Davidic Kingdom was the Queen Mother. The Kings, for reasons of state and human weakness, had many wives, none of whom fittingly could be called Queen. That honor was reserved for the mother of the King, whose authority far surpassed the many "queens" married to the king. We see this is the role Bathsheba played with respect to King Solomon and the occasions when the Queen Mother acted as regent on behalf of juvenile successors to the throne.
The role of the Queen Mother, therefore, is a prophetic type of the Kingdom role of Mary, just as the role of the Davidic King is a prophetic type of the Kingdom role of Jesus. Jesus inherited the Kingdom promised to David, who was told that one of his descendants would rule forever. The angel Gabriel revealed this fact to Mary at her Annunciation,
Behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall name him Jesus. He will be great and will be called Son of the Most High, and the Lord God will give him the throne of David his father, and he will rule over the house of Jacob forever, and of his kingdom there will be no end." (Luke 1:31-33)
Aside from the prophetic types present in the Kingdom of Judah, there is also the text of Psalm 45, which when speaking of the Kingdom of God also speaks of its Queen.
[6] Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom is a right sceptre. [7] Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows. [8] All thy garments smell of myrrh, and aloes, and cassia, out of the ivory palaces, whereby they have made thee glad. [9] Kings' daughters were among thy honourable women: upon thy right hand did stand the queen in gold of Ophir. [10] Hearken, O daughter, and consider, and incline thine ear; forget also thine own people, and thy father's house; [11] So shall the king greatly desire thy beauty: for he is thy Lord; and worship thou him. (Psalm 45:6-11, KJV)
That Kingdom ruled by God is the same as the Kingdom ruled eternally by the Son of David. It is not an earthly kingdom, though it is present on earth in the Church, but a heavenly kingdom, the Kingdom of God. The Queen of that Kingdom is the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Mother of the Lord God Jesus Christ
The woman spoken of in Revelation 12 is Mary. A few observations:
      • The woman is a great sign and appears in heaven. This is the Catholic view of Mary--that she has an important role in heaven and in the plan of redemption.
      • She is clothed with the sun, has the moon under her feet, and a crown of 12 stars. In the passage in Gen 37:9-10 the sun, moon and stars bow down to Joseph. This point is often missed by commentators. Therefore, Mary has a role similar to Joseph's in providing redemption to God's people. Joseph "saved" the Israelites and ruled over them just as Mary "saves" the church and rules over it.
      • Mary gives birth to the Messiah. This is the only literal meaning of the text.
      • Satan was cast down to earth as a result of events surrounding Christ's birth. Satan went after the child Jesus with a vengeance as we see in Herod's decree to kill the children.
      • Mary escapes to the desert--to Egypt, for safety and to protect Jesus. She was there for three and a half years.
      • Jesus was snatched up to God and His throne at His ascension.
      • Satan was unable to harm the child Jesus so he went off to destroy the rest of Mary's offspring. Notice who these are--those who obey God's commandments and hold to the testimony of Jesus. Mary's other offspring are the church. She had no other children other than Jesus. She is the spiritual mother of the church.😁😁

      What does this even mean?
It sounds like you are saying you are saying you will only accept typology if the scripture says looky over here to read some typology?
But that's not how typology works.
