Huw Jones isn't South African, he went there on a gap year when he was 19 and turned out to be good enough to play for Stormers. He is Scottish born and English raised.
I think Junior Kpoku should be offered a hybrid contract to get him back from France, before he plays for France. Although I'd rather the ludicrous not picking players playing abroad rule be rescinded.
@ That’s not to say we don’t have a reliance on foreign born players, however with player numbers north of the border, 50,000 at a peak in the early/mid 90’s, far less now, we have to be canny just to achieve a place at (or close to) the top table.
The Lions tour in 2013, the tight head spot was not up for grabs. Adam Jones was nailed on having won a Six Nationa that year, a grand slam the year before, with Gatland as coach, and was widely renowned as the world's best tight head at the time.
Yes, but they hammered the team at the bottom of the Premiership and the lowest ranked Irish side in the URC who sent a rotated squad. So clearly, only South Africa can beat them.
@@rugbyanalyst no your point is totally valid. It’s a very well constructed back line. Wider issue that you implied is also valid, think Scotland will always be a nation that takes advantage of ancestry and imports. As the pathways and youth look dreadful at the minute.
Totally agree - Ireland if sort their lineout hopefully would have scored far more - Scotland back line great -but are they really going to compete with France, Ireland and England upfront if they produce wht they are capable of - not convinced by their arguments based on a weak Australia
£80 a year for URC, Top 14 and EPCR not justifiable for a Rugby Journalist??

Yep fair enough

Can see both Willis brothers making the Lions.
Also, I love how this guy does a complete logic flip on Furlong and Itoji
Huw Jones was born in Leith ya fanny!
Yep, my bad
Really good show. Enjoyed the input from Ollie.
Just for the record, Huw Jones was born in Edinburgh but went to SA to study
Yes you are right, my bad

Liam Williams, don't rule him out of touring as covers two positions and is so reliable defensively. Good support for Kinghorn/Keenan.
Toulouse have been beaten 7 times this year

And just drew with Lyon. This guy is literally gas lighting people.
Huw Jones born In Edinburgh
But yeah played is rugby in South Africa
Fair enough. May main point is the team is almost perfect ATM either by luck or design and I'm not sure this will happen again for a long time.

How can he say Australia should have beaten Ireland mmm they defended for almost 80 minutes, and that somehow means they are better.

Because he wanted Australia to win, going off everything else he's said here.
Exactly that, plus Australia were focusing on us and didn’t pay attention to the Scotland game in the slightest
They know Furlong is injured right?
England need to try out new players fin baskter at 10 but don't underestimate the pumas at home interesting
Maro Itoji, why?......Well in 2017 Christ says it all, doesn't it
Why not Itoje? He is playing well. Debatable if he started for the Lions but he is definitely in the conversation.
How can you support tje lions ,tje paddies ,taffs and sweaties hate us
Ah, of course, its definitely going to be Scotlands year........again........as per usual........🤣🤣🤣🤣
