    I used to make these with soft glass with vermiculite annealing and a liquor bottle top as a ghetto marble mold. With only propane and a budget torch it was a great learning tool

      I haven't used soft glass yet. I do some scientific glassblowing so I've always used borosilicate.

    I would love to see your version of a jellyfish, pendant or marble, either one.

      Hi Krista. I know there are a few videos on TH-cam that show how to make a jellyfish. Here is one that is really cool th-cam.com/video/-VlW70AaeJ4/w-d-xo.html.

      @@FusingShop yes I have watched all the ones on TH-cam. But I would love to see your version. I like that you have narration and good views of what is happening. And everyone does their jelly's differently too.

      @@kx160 Ok Krista I'll add it to my list of videos to make. My next video is going to be sculpting a dolphin. I should have it up today or tomorrow.

    Love the marble and brilliant video for my hubby to follow as you always give good clear instructions - did wonder if your camera should be above you so we look down on you working the glass instead of us trying to see through the flame?? Still really cool work honey x

    So can you just let it set to cool without it cracking?

    • @FusingShop
      @FusingShop  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Nicholas! For marbles I never let them bench cool because they can crack. The problem is that the core stays hot for awhile while the outside is rapidly cooling down. The extreme differences in temperature do not make the glass happy and it will most likely crack if not put directly into a kiln.

    Thanks again for sharing your knowledge Sim. Your glass trash pot is part of the same set of pots that i grew up cooking with :)

      Lol, yeah that old pot really came in handy. I need to start using my scraps, they are really starting to pile up.
