I hope you both have a wonderful thanksgiving day. Thanks for sharing this, Chris. I think it's so neat that you're up for anything in clearing, digging, trenching, whatever your client needs.
thirty two minutes in is Chris's famous Z fold of a small tree to fit his stack. Yup, a good farm road has at least a mower width or two on each side to keep the trees from encroaching. If not a finish mower at least a brush hog once or twice a year. Ya know, these videos could be a good foundation for a training class to teach the shift from operator to small business owner. It is project management on a small scale when Chris explains his thinking on why he does things in a certain way. Pretty sure some folks are here just for that reason as operators. Learn the how and why of things. I am just here to relax and dream about the life I could have led if it had not thrown me a change of hands mid way. Thanks for the relaxation Chris. Hope your holiday was a good one.
It's hard to sit in my own misery when I see Chris and Geoff working hard and living a good life. They are inspirations and role models for me. And it was nice to meet Brush commando too.
Great to see Chris doing his favorite thing clearing dirt work Man that loves job will never work a day in his life. Chris loves this kinda work you can tell or just ask Him he tell you this is what he likes best
Happy Thanksgiving and thank you for your videos. Small trees all clumped together look like a field of weeds. I'm just used to seeing large firs out here in the west. Looking good, a corridor through the trees.
" HAPPY THANKSGIVING " CHRIS, hope you and yours have a great day cause you certainly deserve it! Enjoy your videos soo much keep em coming! Stay safe.... Lou the gator man....
Overly full from Thanksgiving dinner and digesting with a LetsDig18 video. Happy Thanksgiving Chris and everyone on the farm. The Pond Master is very good at building pads, fenceline clearing, road building, structure demolition, and drainage install. Customers` future projects depend on available funding.
I’ve got a request for you, sometime when things are a little slow go over your equipment and show us where & how you mount your cameras, maybe even what camera you use. Thank you Sir
You have all the luck. Somebody cheaply builds a dam and you have to fix it. Now, somebody crowns a road like they should, and you have to fix it. 😂 Cool work as always man.
Thanks for your video so I have something to watch. While eating Thanksgiving dinner. By the way, enjoy this day again. Thanks. A little longer would be great lol.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving LetsDig18 and all. The property owner is making huge land improvements to this land - good news. Fleet looking good too for this road forming.
Watching you working with the Komatsu dozer clearing that tall grassy area makes me wonder if that would be a better job for the d7 with the root rake.
Man, that little Finish Dozer is your main work horse ya know it !! It really comes in handy for most everything you do... Well, got a good jump on the New Road Bed !! several loads of Brush ,and that old buck brush mess and you'll be able to get it laid out across there !! Great as Always Chris !! Have a Great Evening, And a Very Happy Thanksgiving !! To You and Your Family !! And, On too the Next !!
As usual I enjoyed the video here again your taking an untouched piece of earth and creating another master piece,I hope you and yours have a very good thanksgiving
Chris Thanks for the Interesting Video on this 28. 11. You break with the Excavator and Dozer the Ground for a great New Farm Road. However a Perfect Work . I wish You and your Family a Happy Thanksgiving Day.
Happy Thanksgiving to you, Chris, and your family. I hope you had a wonderful, relaxed day. Just sitting around eating and laughing and just enjoying the people you're with. Thanks for sharing a great video as usual, Chris. God bless you, Chris, and all of your family and friends. Chris, you're the best. ❤
Hit the mute button. He is laying out his retirement by making the start of a training class videos for small project management. All that talk explaining what and why will be his future income some day. Maybe, if he is as smart as I think he is. Some clips and a few voice overs and then rake in the cash for years.
And that is why they hire Chris. He clears and stumps full wide and then strips the topsoil for the road bed. Once it is graveled it will last a hundred years. Your way is what? Mulch it, then gravel over the stumps and topsoil? That would assure lifetime maintenance.
And where would he use that? He has track loaders. This customer has a wheel loader if he needs to borrow it. Very few of his jobs are suitable for a wheel loader though. He is mostly off road.

The sandy soil looks to make clearing a little less troublesome, have a great thanksgiving.
The terrain there is awesome, most of it is clay, sandy clay or loam, and few rocks, and fairly flat! That’s the only thing I miss of NC.
A nice big clearing job . Means a nice big burn pile .
Happy Thanksgiving, Todd. I hope you had a wonderful day with family and friends. Eating and relaxing with friends is the best

Looking good Chris, could the borrow pit be turned into a pond at some point
Everytime you fold one of those saplings over until it splinters, I feel it in my bones. It sounds like a bone breaking.
Me thinking that Chris has much more work here, perhaps the owner could build Chris a shed just for the machines 😊
HAPPY THANKGIVING FROM OUR FAMILY HERE IN WAUSAU WISCONSIN TO YOUR FAMILY. 😊😊😊😊

Happy Thanksgiving from my family to your family
Happy Thanksgiving Chris awesome job my name is Victor
Clearing saplings and scrub brush sucks… (not the video, the task itself). It’s just about the most tedious task to do in the excavation world.
However, it’s a crapload faster than doing it by hand. Btdt not fun.
Just 1 of the things that has to be done, you don’t have to like it just do it.

Must be leveraging government hand outs. "Clear land" while under ag status. Then divide into lots once all legal legal obligations are met.
