At 3:00, this is a great explanation here. I follow exactly as per your instructions, however when I am done with a measure the rests that are suppose to be above the top line with the small notes stay in the measure. Therefore, I have to drag them up top sometimes moving the slashes to drag them up. Any reason why they won't move up top? Thank you.
Hi I have another question' on my drum chart I have some notes with an X below the bass drum in a couple of measures. So where the Note D would be on the staff. I need to add circles around a few of them. I tried in Notation Heads but it does not work. Is there a way to do this? Thank you.
Thanks for the vid it's really helpful John. As a query cant get fill.. on the lines menu- user defined is not on the dropdown and can't find any way of locating it through plugin's etc- how did you get it and where can I get fill... from, any thoughts? Thanks
Hi at 3:57 I did Option Click to copy that horn line in the Drum part but it did not work. I had to do Command C then Command V. Also how did the slashes appear in the measure as soon as you used the Make Pitches Constant plug-in? Mine did not do that. Thank you.
The drums and bass I use as underscore are live musicians. I just used that to have something playing during the 'beat the clock" section. I thought it was appropriate as drum charts are meant for live drummers....
At 3:30 followed exact instructions but once I pressed quarter note it gave me rests in the measure instead of how it appears the way you did it. Thank you
@@NelsonRiverosMusic It does in the blogpost, Install Plug-ins>Notes and Rests. You need to install the plug-in. See this blogpost on how to install plug-ins. But you must have Sibelius Ultimate to install plug-ins, you cannot do this if you only have 'Sibelius.' www.avidblogs.com/sibelius-plugins-and-keyboard-shortcuts/
You can record in real time into Sibelius using Flexi-time. But for drum set notation you will have to do a lot of cleanup after due to the nature of drum set notation.
That plug-in has been removed by AVID but Bob Zawalich has created a new plugin called Drum Cues that does the same and more, you can download it from install plugins
This was excellent, thank you! Next time I'm in Nashville, I owe you a beer at Robert's!
Deal!
Great teaching. Thank you.

The fill line is not a default line, you have to create it. This blog post shows you how to do that. www.avidblogs.com/three-things-lines/
@@Hincharts Brilliant-thank you.
Nice! Can you do a video on marching drumline?🎶

Can this be done WHILE I actually play an electronic set? I mean can it take the midi output from playing and transcribe what I just played??

I tried to search for the Make Pitches Constant plugin and I can't find it for Sibelius Ultimate. What should I do?
