Note that this is for Windows - on Mac use Cmd instead of Ctrl and you will be fine

Yay! I'm new to Sibelius Ultimate & everything is usually for Mac (why?!!). Anyway my question, I started making my entries & much to my chagrin I started the entries 1 measure too soon so now the lead line starts 1 measure before it is suppose to. What key stroke do I use to move the measure(s) to the correct starting point So that the lead line does not come in early? Thanks!

Welcome to the software! Is it just one line that is off by one measure, or all of the music? If it's all of it, I would select all after that first measure, Ctrl + Shift + C, then the second measure and press Ctrl + V. That will move everything over by one bar. But it's hard to say without seeing the score. Maybe, you can send a screenshot of the issue

Hi Andrey, very helpful video thank you. I wonder if you might be able and willing to help with one query. I have inserted a semi-quaver triplet and two semi-quavers on one beat. I would expect the triplet notes and the semi-quaver notes to be joined by a single line. However, Sibelius does not want to join them. Any shortcut for that? Many thanks and best wishes. Simon

If you look at the Keypad, the 2nd or 3rd menu should have a lot of options for different beaming solutions. Select the notes that you want to change the beams for, and then experiment with the different options until you find what works for your situation!

@@darushkii thank you sir. It plays fine as is, but technically, they say the tripets and the two quavers should be physically connected by a single line - an extension of one of the two lines associated with the semi-quavers. So it's that line that needs connecting rather than a beam I think? Thanks again. Simon

Forgive me, here is a screen grab of the issue on TH-cam if you can help. th-cam.com/video/PLq75G6w3uQ/w-d-xo.html Regards, Simon

@@simonjjn Hi Simon, here's the step by step process:
Step 1: Make sure keypad is open (View -> Panels -> Keypad)
Step 2: Select what looks like your high C6
Step 3: In the keypad, click on the third menu (Beams/Tremolos) and then click on the 2nd option in row 1 called “Start secondary beam”
Step 3b: You may need to join the triplets and duplets first, in that case highlight your A5 and C6, and click the 2nd option in row 2 called “Middle of beam” and then do the step above
      That should work!

@@darushkii this works an absolute chuffing treat thank you so much!! Both methods actually work, but obviously I will use the one with fewest steps - no need to press MIDDLE OF BEAM in this instance. I am so grateful for your help and delighted. Very best wishes to you and thanks again! Regards, Simon
