Why are you after the AR-15? Have you ever asked yourself this question?
      Between 2019 and 2023, there are 17 deaths a year from AR-15’s.
During that same time, there are 13,000 deaths per year from drunk driving.
There are 358 deaths per year for children under 15 due to drowning.
Drownings are 20X more likely and for children and drunk driving is 765X more likely. But national politicians never talk about these issues even though they are far more deadly.
You are literally more likely to be struck by lightning than to be killed by an AR-15. You need to understand that your primary motivation is not facts, but a desire to control other people based on fear.

We need Swiss gun control. Their are weapons of war in most Swiss homes. The guns are inspected once a month. My Swiss friends had a retired teacher come by to check their gun safe, she checked the bullets, she had a list of questions for the family. If the family is not safe the guns are taken away. We need to try the Swiss gun control system.

The Swiss have guns in their homes because all able bodied people from 19 to 34 are required to be in the service, some serve up to age 50. The guns in their homes BELONG to the army. They are their service weapons. To do the same thing, all American men and women from 19 to 34 would have to be in the military.

Nice idea. Would never happen here as long as the NRA and gun manufacturers are in control in this country. As long as the second amendment is the voice of God to so many. Some countries consider investment in the safety of its people paramount and are willing to pay for it to happen. Over here government is considered the problem not the solution for the big money folks who have captured most of our institution and courts. Want things to change.? Vote Harris/Walz. They care about us the way Switzerland cares about its people. Of course Switzerland is a much smaller country and pretty homogeneous. Much easier to manage generally.

Can't take long until some gun fetishist mentions knives and that the UK as well as we on the continent have an "epidemic" of knife attacks, and that it's not the gun, err knife that kills but the person who is using it. Of course, said gun fetishist will fail to mention that KNIFE violence in the states is ALSO happening serveral times more often than in any place in Europe, ON TOP of the already mad numbers of gun violence.
It must be said, and it must be said loud and clear. What we in the western world have right now is a wave of violence that finds its roots in the very same American social media, the same bad and tasteless American movies, TV series and other American media glorifying and normalizing all forms of violence all day. No wonder there are copycats everywhere in the world trying to emulate what they see. But still, nowhere are they even remotely as "successful" in their endeavour as in the land of the gun, the land where parents don't want schools where mobile phones are banned. Because their children wouldn't be able to call them when another mad man comes to their school and they want to say their goodbyes. I bet that's also not a discussion you would expect to happen in the UK...

@@rhonndataciak7834- as an ex teacher, I agree with that. It's not just the strict gun control in Australia, it's the lack of 'gun culture' mentality in our citizens. A large majority of Australians see no need or have no desire to own a gun. Sure, there is some gun violence, but it is a rare occurance, usually between rival gangs. Classifying all young male shooters as 'psycho' is denying the problems of emotional pressures, mental health issues they are faced with, coupled with the ease of access by young males to guns, particularly, military type weapons. All countries have problematic youth issues, but mass shootings are not the norm. In how many other countries do parents give their children guns as birthday or Christmas gifts? I'm guessing many of these politicians are receiving substantial financial support from the gun lobby groups.
