C. Vivian Stringer a class act. I met her once while officiating AAU Basketball in Texas. She was so gracious to us refs. Thx for this legendry recording ❤
As a Tennessee fan, Kia Vaughn was an absolute beast in this game, but unfortunately for the Scarlet Knights, Rutgers guards were just completely outplayed
This is from April 3,2007. Don Imus watched this game on television and the next morning, the radio icon who hosted IMUS IN THE MORNING on New York-based WFAN and was seen on the cable network MSNBC at the time, discussed the game with executive producer Bernard McGuirk and sportscaster Sid Rosenberg. Imus,a comedian in his own right, made the big mistake of calling the black Rutgers members "nappy headed hos". McGuirk called them "hardcore hos". This mishap got Imus and McGuirk fired, one of the people that called for their firings was Rev. Al Sharpton. Imus did apologize later to the players saying that the remarks were thoughtless, stupid and ill-conceived and he was forgiven. But Imus resumed his show after an eight-month hiatus on NY-based WABC. He and McGuirk learned their lessons and paid their prices.
Pat making sure her players shook hands after the game before celebrating shows exactly why she was so great. Discipline and humility first. So good.
she was the definition of class.. miss her #GOAT
