In answer to your question - personally, I think you will do better if you pursue something that you have more of an interest in.

In the market are they two different roles or one

It really depends on the company. There is certainly overlap between the 2 roles but the exact day-to-day and responsibilities will vary.

I have a video coming soon about this. It’s not that there are NO entry level DevOps jobs, but that it’s much harder to find than other related jobs.
If you’re passionate about it, it’s definitely possible to find one. Don’t let this completely discourage you.
