It's interesting how you mention Battlebit has jumped off the cliff, considering certain streamers/content creators that were praising it are now back on the supposedly "bad" BF2042, after dropping Battlebit like a hot potato. It just goes to show how easily some gamers and content creators are willing to jump on the "popular" opinion, instead of forming their own opinions on what makes a decent game. To be fair it's a shame that Battlebit has died out considering its a really fun game which was clearly created with love of the genre, but there's no modern FPS that is as fun as BF2042, even with all of its problems.

Delta Force is very identical in many aspects with 2042 i think that game will probably die when battlefield 2025 will release or probably sooner but lets see what the team will do
2042, in its current state, has the potential to be the next CS:GO in terms of being decently popular for a decade or more. But i feel like Dice just gave up completely.
They would not need to make another battlefield, they could just continue to upgrade this and add more seasons and campaign as dlc to this. But new games sell better, its all about money for them.

Loved BF2042 from first day, the bugs and the evolution was also a joy to be a part of. Complaining insulted players just made it even more fun. Players cried when things was nerfed, I still miss Sundance X3 C5, but only having two just made it a bit more challenging to kill the tanks, was just to adapt and overcome. No mew battlefield will be as fun as 42, if you expect a mill simulator I understand that people find the specialists and gadgets strange … 42 is just so great cause you can goof around. I’m a terrible squad mate in every game, never play the objectives, and I’m just using vehicles for ramming players and fly out buildings in the hovercraft. All this cause it’s possible, and it always make my day. Keep it coming Squid, you have such an entertaining mindset playing BF42.
I dont get the hype at all for Delta Force? The same people saying "2042 iS thE wOrSt bF eVEr" are getting excited for a clone of 2042? The world is walking on hands these days🤦🫠

Bf2042 had an awful release and I hear it hasn't really improved. Bf4 was peak battlefield. I personally play Battlebit now.
