Solange Knowles is the innovator. Her style is fresh and uniques expressive of her artistic expression. She marches yo her ow drum like Willow Smith. Thogh very different in their creativity they move fluidly through the industry

Absolutely! Solange’s creativity and unique expression make her such a force in the industry. I love how she stays true to her artistic vision while influencing fashion in such an authentic way. Willow Smith is another great example of someone forging their own path.

Nice video ! I think her personal style has a lot of similarities with Tracy Ellis Ross. I love it.

Tracee Ellis Ross is such an icon and they do have similar styles, I’m glad you enjoyed your video 🫶

This was a great video and I, too, ride for Solange and want more people to respect her status as an icon. Just some critiques for your next videos if they’re going to cover similar topics: there were a lot of topics/sections in this video. I would choose three or four and focus on explaining the how and why she is important and how is it unconventional and present the conventional example to show the difference. Like, in the Met Gala/Red Carpet sections, you said her dress was bold but didn’t mention what the Met Gala theme was or show how other stars were dressed. Without that comparison, I wasn’t able to grasp the full uniqueness of Solange’s fashion sense. Last note: the quote from Solange when she describes what design means to her was AMAZING! But if I clicked off the video before I got to that section, I wouldn’t have heard it. I’d recommend moving important quotes from the person you’re discussing to the front end of the video. That way if someone who never heard of Solange heard that quote from her suddenly you’ve piqued their interest and they’ll stay tuned in to hear your point about why Solange is an underrated icon.
Overall, this is a great start to a great channel and I look forward to seeing the algorithm work its magic for you ✨

Thank you so much for taking the time to watch my video and share such detailed and constructive feedback! I truly appreciate your support-she absolutely deserves more recognition, and I’m glad that message resonated with you.
You make a great point about focusing on fewer topics in similar future videos. I’ll definitely work on narrowing down the themes and going deeper into the "how" and "why". Including conventional comparisons is such a smart idea-I hadn’t thought about how that would help highlight her uniqueness better.
Also, I’m so glad you loved the quote! Moving impactful moments like that to the start of the video is a fantastic suggestion, and I’ll definitely implement it. Keeping viewers intrigued early on is so important, and I want to make sure they stay engaged throughout.
Thank you again for your kind words and for believing in my channel-it means so much! I’ll definitely take your advice to heart as I continue improving. Stay tuned for more, and I hope you enjoy what’s to come! ✨

@@zizithebadgal I'm glad you found my comment helpful 🩵🩵🩵 I see your next video will be about Kerwin Frost and I'm BEYOND excited to see you do it. I've been dying to watch another YT Channel that was like Modern Gurlz, Threaducation, and Mina Le, but I've been needing a Black woman to share her thoughts on fashion for the longest. Thank you for fulfilling this need, and I can't wait for the world to embrace your opinions and perspective, gworl!

Thanks for this video. If black people don’t talk about their people in fashion and fashion icons who will talk about them? White people? 95% of TH-cam videos are about white fashion icons for white people even though black people are the most stylish and fashionable people.

@@Neema150 Thank you for your thoughtful comment! I completely agree-it's so important to celebrate and highlight Black icons in fashion because their contributions have shaped and continue to shape the industry in powerful ways. Representation truly matters, and I'm passionate about ensuring these stories are told. I'm glad this video resonated with you!

@@zizithebadgal I completely understand! I didn’t invent this style of editing nor am I the first to talk about style… but I think it’s fair to give credit when it’s due. Especially when using a similar scrap booking thumbnail method and video editing style. I don’t see that your previous videos contain these elements. Nonetheless you have a GORGEOUS speaking voice and this video was great. I hope this message is received well ❤
