On obssessing over details in Menswear/Fashion

  • Sometimes we get too bogged down in the details in menswear (or fashion in general). Can that be good? Or bad? I try to answer this question based on my experience today. Hope you enjoy.

    The way I see it, if someone gets the dress code flat out wrong, I might inform the person. But in terms of other details, it's a matter of taste. Sleeve length, pant length, jacket length, etcetera. I like for my cufflinks to be showing at a minimum, I like my jackets to cover my rear, and I like no break on my pants.
    But if we weren't different, everything would be boring after all. The golden rule in psychology is that, on average, how you think you look, other people will think you look twice as good, so I say don't worry about it.😉

      definitely agree with that bit about enjoying the difference! You should be able to break the so-called “rules” here and there. If you adhere to every single sartorial rules out there then you’d be a robot…
