Would it matter what the controller goes for now? Didn’t you buy it for a price, so can’t you charge what you bought it for plus a decent profit rather than jacking the price up to what they are going for now? Just curious, I don’t know much but that seems to make sense
You always charge the going rate for a part even if its been on the truck for years and you paid half as much for it in 2020. You have to replace it now that you've used it and that's going to cost you todays price.
Why should anyone be selling parts at wholesale prices to retail customers? It costs a lot of money to keep that inventory (financing costs, time to buy and stock the truck, fuel to move around with the parts).
4:53 Obligatory Spam call, but only rang twice! yay! And again 23:13 ha Only Twice! thanks! What if that weird jumper wire was what burned it out originally? At home HVAC expert here! HA!
Another nice job by no frills Steve and your assistant Miss Molly
I love watching your videos you’re a upfront guy and you don’t sugar coat anything I wish he was in my town he would be my go to repair guy
Here's something you don't hear Steve say very often : " I'm gonna have to order that paht "..........😅
We watch a lot of your stuff. Cooking, plumbing, etc. the hubs and I get laughs from the stories. Keep on keeping on. You’re a good guy.
I've gotten so used to watching a video a day, I'm wondering where you are.
Dang good video Steve, you are the man! Remain safe and keep the videos coming! 👍 💥💯☝️👌🫵
Fun Fact: Even when not taping Steven talks to himself like this.
I do the same, if tenants are around, I remind them that I'm not crazy, I talk to myself!
I’m an HVAC service tech too for 34 years now and I talk myself through service calls too, I guess we’re a special breed

@@dbee5398 Absolutely true 🤣
Great Video. Thank you for sharing
Beautiful job Steve as usual!!
Keep another one on the truck in case the part gets discontinued.
Of course Steve has that control on the truck. Supply house on wheels.
Probably cheaper than a New System, is probably what 1 of those Tablet guys would want to do.
What is a power pile system could you explain.
Sometimes I like when customers arent there, I like hearing Steve talk to himself. Dont know why. Maybe because I do the same.
Steve is not just talking to himself, really. He is also generously giving instruction to his thousand of listeners.
An Aquastat like that is around $400
Customer shock when he sees the $700 bill. Material costs more than labor nowadays. (Sometimes) Crazy
@@WeatherNut27 No kidding, $700 is groceries for a month for some people.
@peterfairlie2296 yup. Or gas for a shipping truck. Nutty as squirrel shit
400 his cost not customer's cost going to be 700 just for the part + labor
@@user-ko7fp8pk1s True! Probably was a $1000 bill.
steve sounds like me when i am working out in the garage on a car.
Hey Steve Amazon has that Johnson control for $300.00 same one you're installing there.
If this is the guy who couldn’t fix the diesel, don’t feel too bad 🤣

Circuit trace coming out of the relay is bad, just needs to be soldered back into place if u can’t get a new controller.
Would it be a fair idea to use a less expensive control in place of this expensive model?
Amazing all the parts you have in the truck!Mine need replacing a few years ago Plumbing supply store had to order one took 3 days to arrive .
? for billing, a part is in the truck for year's, do you call the supply house for a current cost to replace.
Dog's are the best.

@@dosgos Can't forget Insurance, Licenses, and Dog treats !
The customer should be happy that Steve didn't have to use the "jizum", that would have sent the price through the ceiling!
@@kellyg46 Or the "How you doing Momma"
looks like my dad's old boiler that thing ran trouble free for 30 years they don't make them like that anymore.
Howdy Steve and Molly
Hey Steve and Miss Molly! Workin’ again ya’ll. 👍👍
I looked up the controller, It's going for about 350 big ones
Talk to yourself, nobody argues with you!!!

24volt all purpose relay to turn on the pump would work.
