Great instructions. Can I ask how you can judge the final length of the final knot by the length of the strands that you start with. For example I'm looking for a 90mm long grip around a 28mm diameter handle. How long and how many twists is that likely to need? Thank you.
Glue is usually not the best solution to most problems :). At the start, before the project you can sand out the area covered a bit- to make it rougher. You can also use wax to add a bit of friction. Then tie the knot and tighten it as best you can. Pouring boiling water will make the cord shrink a bit, giving you a tighter wrap. A hot air gun can also work. Alternatively you could always nail your strands at the start (at the middle). I use the nail technique in paddle wraps, works well. Happy 2020! Mark

By using two or more colors of cord. Just alternate the colors when you first lay them all out.
