Classic story. This is a very different version of The Phantom of the Opera that became a fairy tale. I know about it, but never anything like this one until now. Eric who called himself the phantom was born deformed in half of his face. His parents never loved him, held him or kissed him. He never had friends in his childhood. The world was cruel and unkind to him throughout his whole life because of the way he looked, that was unfair. He was lonely and unhappy until he saw Christine Daae in the opera. At first, Christine was shocked to see his deformity, but learned about his suffering because he was different. She passed Eric's ugliness with a pure heart. How sweet and touchy. Eric was in love with her, only to find out that she was in love with her childhood friend Raoul. The phantom was determined to make Christine love him, but her love for Raoul was stronger. So, she helped him see the light and face the world without fear of his insecurities. Eric learned his lesson and understood. Now, for the first time in his life, Eric found peace and fitted in. He was even hired to help everyone around the opera since he had the experience with the stage, singing and dancing, and had friends. He began to ignore the haters and loved himself just the way he was, thanks to Christine - The phantom of the opera was not afraid anymore. He was still friends with Christine and Raoul. At long last, Eric the phantom of the opera was freed from his past and suffered no more. The story reminds me of the other classic story, The Hunchback of Notre Dame. I know the feeling of being different and trying to fit in with the world. For example, I have autism and I am shy with strangers. I am different from everyone, including my family. But you people must understand; just because I'm autistic doesn't mean I'm less intelligent.

I am an artist who also happens to be autistic so your long commentary really chimes with me. I also feel bad for Eric, all he wanted was to be loved and accepted. Thanks to Christine people have begun to accept him, I hope that he will meet a girl who will truly love him (and vise-versa) someday soon.
In Goosebumps its different because same if they were just people playing in the musical the story was different but still good.
