It took 6 months or so to build this layout in Rolling line, but I really enjoyed it. It Turned out better than I expected. I think TLD is a masterpiece, and Rolling lines art style is so similar that the first time I played it I knew I had to try to recreate the line. In game you can alter the weather so driving in full blizzard and/ or at night is possible for a true Interloper experience! Glad people are liking it.
its the reconstruction of the trains journey in The Long Dark starting from Broken Railroad to Bleek Inlet. In the game due to seismic activity and geomagnetic events parts of the railroad are destroyed
the music is so perfect, really draws you into the melancholia of a lost world... amazing how emotional this is ... just a low poly train going through a low poly landscape, and yet a deeply melancholia about a world about to get lost, never to come back and a man/woman trying to live another day...
I like how i can just tell what map it is. Like it’s leaving broken railroad going into forlorn muskeg and then passing by the lake office in mystery lake with its iconic flag out in front and finally onto the broken bridge leading to coastal highway.(Quinset garage is best) I just know where everything should be and it looks odd seeing it not there. Great video would love to see more restoration videos like this for the long dark
oh thank you thank you thank you for making this! Great Bear Lake is in the Northwest territories which use Mackenzie Northern Railway, thought that was neat. I'd give anything to catch out on some freight going over a trestle like raven falls.
It was my pleasure to make this! and that is a cool link to TLD, Mackenzie Northern Railway 😀 I notice you say Railway like us in the Uk, maybe I should update my video titles as I’ve called it a Railroad. Glad you enjoyed it.

Thank you very much, I really enjoyed watching the alive island of Big Bear, when the train was still traveling on it, life was in full swing and there were tourists. I always wanted to see this island alive, I always wanted to see how these trains go on rails in a blizzard and you gave me this opportunity, thank you very much for this work that took 6 month
This is some of the most fun/interesting fan art I’ve seen of any kind. I know I’m late, but you should share this with Hinterland somehow. I think they’d get a kick out of it :)
This is so cool, i can easily recognize each map, and you even designed your own beginning and the end of the railway line. Seeing the damaged tracks, derailed cars and locomotives through the maps and abandoned buildings, i always wanted to see how the Railway functioned before the Quiet Apocalypse. Well done!
Something about mystery lake that is so enchanting. That map. I knew it by heart. I still do and not like i know all other maps i knew every rock. The changes with the lookout tower and dam are hard for me qnd always a shock😂
That was nice vibe! Great job, it's just so satisfying to see the train run over the tracks I've walked so many times. I was almost wondering where the wolfs where when you entered mystery lake. ;)
oh this is fantastic! I spend a lot of time wondering what different places on great bear might have looked like when still in use or in different season so seeing this is very satisfying
The one in ML It is there, high on the hill trust me, just doesn’t show in the vid angles. You can just see it in my 2nd vid at 4:50 ish. Didn’t put the one in CH though 😀
It's weird, that in game there are crushed wagons and trains in different parts of the railroad. Why did someone send another trains to rails, when there are already crushed trains on it?
Yes, I did notice that as well. I wanted to do a video of the last train, or trains. It would be hard to explain the 2 abandoned motor carriages as well as the 2 trains & an engine….all on a single track, but…..I still might try! Thanks for watching 😀
ive been wanting to make this in TRS19 but I dont know how the terrain works entirely. I have followed the track through the different regions, but I dont have an exact map so to speak or DEM for the terrain. Do you happen to have a map or track plan/route map that I can have?
Unfortunately I don’t have a track plan as such. I created it simply by doing a vid of a walk along the track, and using that when building the layout. I have made maps in Train Simulator using the google terrain data, but that is obviously real world only. Rolling line has a lot more freedom than TS, far simpler, but limited in scope and graphics. I don’t know how you would make the cliffs and ravines without terrain data but you can maybe do it manually in the editor, not sure it’s been a while. All I can suggest is you get rolling line and subscribe to my map, you can fly around it at height and use it as a plan for your build. Good luck & happy modelling! 👍
The coastal highway region is there, it runs high up the mountain over the stream before going into the (blocked in TLD) tunnel. The line must go from and too somewhere in TLD, we may never know, that’s just my idea of what it might do. Glad you enjoyed it 👍
@@rinston3591 it might lead into Perseverance Mills in story mode, as the town is a logging and milling town, and the railway is a lumber railway right

I don’t know what it is, but seeing a train cross the raven falls bridge was truly an amazing experience

Good vid mate. It was weirdly enjoyable to see a train running on those tracks for once
If only I had a train in the fucking wolves couldn’t bother me
wwhat? only 1k views ? this should get at least 1M
TLD is so underrated game

Thank you because I was lost lmao, I could recognize a lot but I had difficulty with some
nice touch that the train's carrying logs.
this place is truly beautiful before the apocalypse... amazing job! it's like a dream
so cool to see the environments in a more "alive" scenario, love this

Trains and cold winter, my two most favorite things!
Великолепно! Представляю как захватывает дух у водителя при проезде по мосту на железнодорожной ветке "Водопады ворона"
Very cool, you did an amazing job of capturing the locations and atmosphere of TLD. It was a pleasure to watch.
great job, recognize the landscape.
Es curioso encontrar este maravilloso video, ayer soñé que viajaba en ese tren
noice, iam a simple man, i see train, i like
Это прекрасно...
Great job man
Simply stunning 👍
THIS IS SOOO COOL!!! Loved the FM region!

Охренеть, шикарно.
Amazing! #hinterland
Its beautiful and so close to game locations, thank you :D
View of this bridges made me breathless for a moment! Also great music for such footage!

Love it. I love the game and this video show the love that some one can real love a videogame.
Looks amazing, man!
And the artwork looks so close, at first - from the thumbnail- I wondered how you managed to pull it off within TLD
Awesome. Wish I could hop that instead of walking them for hours.
Thank you❤
Excellent, really amazing.
Wow nice work

This game is an art. This video is an art.
Really cool!!!
you have no idea how much i wanted to ride a train on that island, thank you, this made my day
Outstanding!
great video i love the long dark
This gives off Fo4 Intro vibes
Awesome job man. I love the Forlon Muskeg part!
This was quite enjoyable!
Wow...really excellent 👏👏👏👏👏
Guys, subscribe to him. This is the kind of art deserving of a sub! Great work, amazing to watch and super accurate.
this is incredible
Love TLD and trains! This is brilliant. Thanks for sharing this with us.
Epic effort and attention to detail for something you clearly love. Keep going with this!
Amazing, trains and the long dark, what a combo
Wonderful work!
This is insane
This is incredible!
incredible and stunning...
Fantastic!! I'm new to the TLD experience so I've been binge watching a lot, this was amazing!!
Классно чётко спасибо большое за видео лайк.
I just watched a train ride for 6 minutes. Was it worth it? Absolutely. Beautiful work!!
Nice job - a fellow TLD lover....cheers ! . More mesh resolution and you could use the video in look backs in past memories within the game itself...
This is simply amazing
Forest Talkers dislike this video.
Wow, you’ve done an amazing job at this. Very cool😎👍🏻
This is incredibly! THX
good job
Very nice seeing this. Thank you for showing us.
Damn, this is amazing, well done. I love all the attention to detail
This is awesome, good work man!
It’d be great to fast travel with a train
Man this is so great, thanks for the work done!!!
This is amazing!
So this is what Perseverance Mills is going to look like? ;-)
Good old days ha
this is great
Wow you deserve way more views for this
Great work !

OK... I'll be that guy... I didn't see no watchtower... lol good job though, kinda sad in its own light...🤘🤘

Жаль что твое творение увидело мало людей 😪
Do you think you'll add the far territories/far range branch line to your build? Amazing work!
Это заслуживает старания

Так мило что он дома 🤗🤗🤗 мой рекорд на госте 1305 дней ✌️😉
Great work. Is the stations at the beginning and the end actual places in TLD?
Even before apocalypse there was no people there xD
@@pantarei. it’s the late Friday afternoon train 😀
I was trying to figure out where we are after 4:52... is that still on one of the maps or an imagined continuation?
My imagination there, thought it would end up at a port.
Я так понимаю, что локации с которой стартовал поезд и на которой он остановился являются на данный момент вымыленными
god joob

Why does the train look like a Zap Energy Bar
Clearly Zap also make locomotives 😀
I recommend playing a bit more with the camera
Bit weird with no Coastal and the extra stuff at the end, but pretty cool. Well done!

west to east.
you should've animated the part where it gets overturned
The last train is an idea I like for a vid, difficult to do earthquake/crash in Rolling Line, but I might try it. Thanks for watching😀
