    Stub nibs are my absolute favorites. I love how they show off all of the characteristics of the inks - shading, shimmer or sheen. I journal with stub nibs and just love to go back and look at the pages later.

      I am really loving them and already have another pen with a stub nib and another one with a cursive italic nib on the way!

    I love how dramatic that stub looks with that bright pink ink! I'm all for interchangeable nibs!

    Beautiful Lamy. I also have an Al Star in medium, in a similar color.

    I've been using this nib for a couple of years especially in school and exams. It makes headings and work really neat.

    So fun! I was surprised to see you sell this setup yesterday, and sorry I missed it as I've been wanting to try stub nibs. I think I took it as a sign though because, last night, I ordered myself all the Lamy stub sizes I could find. 😅

      I love this stub nib and it introduced me to the world of stubs and CIs! But the body is not great in my hand and while I love this pen, I do have others I love more and I wanted this pen to go to someone who would love it just as much! 😁

    This nib works so very well with your handwriting which I love so much (handwriting sample PDF, or tutorial maybe 🤔). I am enjoying your fountain pen/ink journey. I wish you had been around when I started years ago and didn’t know what I was doing or what to do. I feel like I would have made fewer mistakes 🤦🏽‍♀️

    I loved the ASMR vibes of the nib on paper. You should do some "Shorts" of this kind. 😅

    I love Lamy stub nibs. Right now I'm trying out a 1.5 Lamy stub and it seems much smoother than the 1.1 in terms of the roundedness of the edges. Pilot ink is surely a great choice too for the 1.1 Lamy nib!!! :) Your writing is so neat!!!!!! :)

      Thank you so much, Chris! I've just placed an order with Nibsmith for a cursive italic grind on a fine nib on a new Pelikan M605. So excited!

    I have a 1.1 stub on my Lamy Studio and I adore it. It’s juicy and smooth, cost about 8,00 Euros. I now have a collection of all SS nibs for Lamy pens.

    Thank you for this very informative video, Karyna. I journal in cursive and am wondering how the stub nibs work doing cursive writing vs black lettering. Have you tried cursive with it by chance?

    • @KarynaLovesToPlan
      @KarynaLovesToPlan  ปีที่แล้ว

      I did some cursive in this video (which I realized you cannot see very well - sorry!) and I really like it! And it is actually encouraging me to practice cursive more!

    Have you tried pilot or TWSBI stub 1.1 or 1.0? How you rate them compared to Lamy? I have a small handwriting which stub size should I go with and which brand you recommend?

    • @KarynaLovesToPlan
      @KarynaLovesToPlan  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If you have small writing like me, I do like the Pilot CM nib on the Kakuno or Metropolitan. I found the TWSBI the widest stub (ended up selling that pen).

      @@KarynaLovesToPlan Thanks so much. How would you rank Lamy Joy 1.1 with a Pilot Metropolitan? Also is CM different from Stub? I never used stub before and I would like to try one out. I have a super small handwriting :)

    I just bought the same nib and tried it on my al star. Is normal if the nib feels sharp/scratchy on the horizontal/upstroke?

    • @KarynaLovesToPlan
      @KarynaLovesToPlan  ปีที่แล้ว

      A stub nib will feel a bit sharper going horizontal and on the upstroke based on how it's been ground. It will take a bit of getting used to if you're not used to it.

    I just placed my first order with Pen Chalet and forgot to use your code. 🤦‍♀️ I ordered a Kaweco with a stub nib.

    This does not showcase the nib as it should be used. You are not only holding your pen at too steep an angle ,but are printing rather than cursive. Neither of these will show line variation as is borne out by your example. Sorry to say this does not show the stub nib as it can and should be used.

    • @KarynaLovesToPlan
      @KarynaLovesToPlan  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Thanks Mark. As a complete newbie, your comment is helpful but phrased in such a way that can be offensive or hurtful. Saying, "Sorry but..." is not actually apologizing at all. And I enjoy using the stub nib the way I like using it. Not everyone holds their pens in the same way. I am no expert, and this hobby for me is about trying new things and seeing what I like. I appreciate your feedback, but I'll keep using the pen the way I like to. Thank you.

    I kindly recommend to use a stub nib for Italic, any Gothic script, Bâtarde or Uncial/Rotunda, not "wasting" it on print letters

    • @KarynaLovesToPlan
      @KarynaLovesToPlan  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks for the recommendation. I will give those a try but will still happily “waste” it on my print letters, since it brings me so much joy.
