One of the best youtube channels, thanks man. I`m just wondering if you put a split shot or two on the leader of the double bead setup to keep the beads in the zone? Cuz that`s a fast water your fishing.
Boy is it fun to catch a fish on the first or second cast. I once caught a 10lb steelhead on the first cast (using a black marabou jig - that I made), when I made the 2nd cast, there was a loop in the reel. The line did not go very far. Once is stripped of enough line to remove the loop I cast it out again but just quickly retrieved the line to put it back on the real with some tension.. I then moved abut 15 meters up steam and made two more casts when I hooked a 10 lb Chinook salmon. After I landed it (and tagged it) I made two more casts then decide that i had better leave as I would be tempted to keep the third fish. The daily limit was two fish. You need to invest in a real net. The one you use is just too small! Tight Lines and good luck >>( Del
In general it makes the capture easier on all players. It’s something I’ve never really needed in the past. Makes most sense if you have a buddy with you to manage the net. I continually try to learn.
@AutomagicAdventures I know I wasn't very nice last time I commented about the lack of using a net to land fish. I was somewhat upset that someone who is making videos that beginners might watch. If they were to watch and see you drag the fish onto the bank would give them the idea that is the way its done. When in fact everytime we do this we remove slime from the fish and leaves them open to disease. We want to increase the amount of fish not deplete the supply. I apologize for the way I reacted and hopefully we both can grow and catch more fish. I learn more every video I watch and everytime I go chasing fish and I've been fishing Steelhead for over 45 years. Continue to enjoy this beautiful resource that has been given to us.

Someone saw a bush and recognized it and started getting on my case for fishing in that spot. Didn't fish that spot for bit until recently
