    So preeetty, Sandi! Is the electrical PVC more flexible than the plumping PVC and is it necessary to start in the middle of the arch rather than at the bottoms? Just curious..:) Thank you for sharing this awesome video with us.

    • @SandiMasoriPresents
      @SandiMasoriPresents  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's only necessary to start in the middle if you have a design that depends on the center point being in the center. If you are doing color blocks or a straight spiral then you don't have to start in the middle. I don't know if there's a big difference in electrical vs plumbing pvc. That's prob a good question to ask the home depot guys. ;~)

      hmmm.... maybe 10 full pumps if you're using the purple or green hand pump. I mostly use machines though, so I'm not entirely sure. What's more important is that whatever number of pumps you choose, be consistent throughout the whole piece to keep them the same :~)

    Hi Sandi. I'm just wondering if having that extra thickness at the bottom where you joined the pvc to the emt... That does not affect the balloon twisting in any way? As it's now 3/4+1/2 thick rather than the usual 3/4 alone. Hope I'm making sense.

    • @SandiMasoriPresents

      This one is 24' linear. That means end to end with no curve it's 24'. The actual height depends on how far apart you set the bases. This one is about a double doorway size. If you want to make a smaller one, maybe make the 3 sections 6' each instead of 8' each :~)

    • @SandiMasoriPresents
      @SandiMasoriPresents  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's mostly a matter of packing the arch with just the right tension, not too squished, not too loose. From certain angles though, you will always be able to see a little bit of the frame, which is why I usually cover my frames with black tape :~)

    • @SandiMasoriPresents

      You would need to attach the ear frame to the arch before you start putting balloons on. And you would probably want a metal frame for the arch for added stability. :~)

    how do you know your 7th cluster is where you start changing the direction? that's because you know how many cluster does your frame use and then kind of divide it? thanks :)

    • @SandiMasoriPresents
      @SandiMasoriPresents  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I know from trial and error that 5-7 clusters work well to get the star shape. It doesn't matter how big the frame is, as if you start in the middle you will end the same way on both sides. If you were going to start on one end and go straight from one end to the other you would need to know in advance how many clusters to make sure the center is a peak. But starting in the center and then working down each side you avoid that :~)

    hi if I wanted to make a hello kitty arch how can I make the ears pointy instead of round

      You need to do some framing for a shaped arch. You could make the ears out of alum rod and add them to a regular arch. There are other ways to build it as well, but too complicated to get into here ;~)

    also how long/tall is your arch?

    • @SandiMasoriPresents
      @SandiMasoriPresents  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's 3 8' pieces of PVC, so it's 24' linear. The width/ height depends on how far apart you put the bases ;~)

    You used 4 colors to create the star. What about 3 colors only?

      You would double one of the colors, so red, white, black, white. :~)

    Hi Sandy, I think I can use this Arch for my Football Helmet that I need to make. Can you suggest the hardware needed to construct the mask? I know I will need to use 5 " latex but a little unsure of the hardware. The helmets that I have seen appear to have a double arch but I think I can get away by using only 1. The only thing is I don't want it to appear cheap looking. so if 2 arches is the way to go then that's what I'll need to do. Please advise. And keep balloonifying. We love the videos! Check us out on Facebook and instagram @partyfaircheseter. We'd love your critique of our arrangements also.

      I think I would def do the double arch for more depth. For the facemask, I make it as saloon style doors that swing open. I can't really explain the mechanics in this format, and it will be a while before I get back into the studio to make more videos, but pvc is probably a good material for it.... :~)
