Thank-you for this I’ve been trying to charge 12$/ft which I feel is sooo reasonable, but after countless inquiries and no closing I’m trying to reevaluate!
🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼 you got this! I get it we want to be equal with everyone else but we must build to get there! Once you build your portfolio people will not question your pricing anymore! Best of luck!
Thank you so much for the information.. It's very helpful.
Your so welcome! Thank you for stopping by!
Thanks for sharing ! This is great advice ❤
Your so welcome! Glad my two cents helped ☺️
Great tips. Thank you for the advise .
You are so welcome! Hope you enjoy our videos
I really like all the information you offer
Sooo sweet thank you so much!!!
Sometimes When you charge less at the beginning some customers doesn't want you to rise price even if you doing better than before.
Hi there! I totally agree that does happen. When you are first starting you have budget friendly customers but I will say that when your work is getting better if those customers do not grow with you it’s because their budget doesn’t allow them to and that’s okay. You’ll see that as your portfolio grows so will your customer base. This is when your new customers who LOVE your work will make it happen! Remember you’ve become a sales person in your business.
Thanks
This is very helpful.
Thank you so much Debbie! Glad you enjoyed it 😊
Yes please
Thank you for doing this! It doesn't matter what your choice of how you price, but the bottom line is you can price it! A lot of balloon stylist are full of crap when they can't give you a basic price to start with! I feel like when they do this, they can just charge you any ol' price!
Totally agree! This is so important especially for our customers in a budget. I think we all have some kind of budget weather it be big or small.
Thanks. Sister❤
Hope this helped on your journey! 😆🤗
I’m just starting out as well. Do you think it’s wise to basically work for only the cost of the materials? Until I gain more experience and collect more content for my Ig?
No and I’ll tell you why…. Unexpected things happen suddenly. I would do cost of material and maybe a minimum cost of time and labor not sure what part of the country your in but I’m in Texas and I’d say maybe $10-$15 an hour. If it takes you 3 hours your talking about $45 that’s an amazing deal! Those $45 will give you money for if in case anything happens. What could happen… well your balloons don’t arrive on time and now you have to purchase them at a local store which will definitely cost you more. That’s just one example of many unexpected things that could happen. I say start low but not at nothing. Promote it like a “sale” to help build your content
@@eventdecorbyliza I never really thought of it that way. Thank you so much for taking the time to answer my question! 😊
How do we charge for delivery & setup ? Is it the same hour/ time charge as for the balloons ?
I’ll be completely honest at first we are trying to build our portfolio. We want content so kept it simple. If it’s 20 minutes away charge $20-30 for gas. Once you have your portfolio built then I would charge per mile coming and going. Example if it’s 15 miles away I charge $30 that’s how I do it with my bakery that has a built portfolio. As far as set up I would charge per hour. If it takes me 1 hour to set up I’d charge $30 that’s how much I want to get paid as a starting balloon artist.
I just started my balloon business and i think I got too greedy. Right now I am just praying for more customers so I can make it right. I missed a lot of customers at first and I said to myself I can do what the professionals can do so I won’t charge low. What a wrong idea.
You got this! You’ll eventually get there but we must build our portfolio to eventually get a list of high profile clients. Don’t give up!
It's not that you're being greedy...it's that you know how much hard work this is. A lot people don't believe that so much goes into this business. I hate when I hear "why is it so expensive, they're just balloons." 😠
Does the $30-$40 an hour include the cost of the balloons?
Hi there thank you for your comment. No it does not include cost of balloons. I set this price rang weather the balloons are from amazon or high quality. Its the cost of my time.
How many balloons in a cluster for a foot?
So a foot is usually 4 balloons. But then we add balloons to that quad. I tend to do a cluster of 8 balloons plus my 5 inch. Hope this helps ☺️
@@eventdecorbylizaCan you tell me the size of the balloons befits you add the 5 inch
Is a quad 4 sets of 4 balloons
Hi there yes it is. You can make them different sizes so they can give them a little pop. ☺️
