Thats what happens when traffic lights on Amber are about to go red. That's when the Accident occurred. From traffic breaking lights. It's as simple as that. The Luas , has the right of way. It's a tram. Like the Dart. They have the Right of way. Only stops sometimes if traffic is mad .But Luas still has the right of way. Luas means; speed》》》 DART. Dublin Area Rapid Transit 》》so they are trained to head to the next station. Sure even the Cyclist on most of our Capital's streets are going through the red light's. There will be more. If people are not Educated. Have a bit of patience. And wait your turn. Or be wrong again. This time it could be you. ➕Takecare➕
Big difference between a Heavy Rail train system and LUAS. LUAS was the cheap option chosen in the city as opposed to a proper subway-underground and overground system which would have cost more but would have been safely separated from traffic and pedestrians and would have been a future proofed piece of transport infrastructure. There will be lots more problems with LUAS because it is sharing busy streets in the centre of Dublin with normal city traffic and pedestrians. You can educate people all you want but the fact is that pedestrians and cars have to use LUAS tracks when using the streets and that is a recipe for incidents. No point in always apportioning blame to pedestrians and vehicles struck by the LUAS when rights of way and thoroughfares which have been there for hundreds of years are now intersected by dangerous rail lines. With such a system now in place all road users cannot be too careful.
@@tommykearney510 It’s good that the luas is cheaper than a metro, because you can build more of it, and give more people access to public transport. Many cities have trams, and they work well, and Dublin used to have trams in the city centre. They are nothing new in a city, and if there was a bus driving in place of the tram, it would have been hit, it wouldn’t be different. I understand why you prefer underground rail, it is more efficient after all.
. Dublin has congested streets with cars, trucks, cyclists, and others competing for road space. The old tram system was the main transport system back in the day before it was scrapped. The newer LUAS trams are extremely long and take up a lot of road space. This type of public transport is the cheap way out, there is a tram system in Lisbon in particular areas such as the seafront but the city has a substantial underground and overground network to compliment this.
@@tommykearney510 I must agree that Lisbon's transport system is great to use. (They have much better bus services too) But I think they have the same problem as in Dublin: there are too many cars. I think we need to make the trams a more major part of transport again and reduce reliance on cars.
thats what happens when you park the luas in Tallaght
4010 must watch out for that one
The luas
Holy shit
