Great series! What is crazy to me is that people have this stuff sitting around and for sale. Makes for good entertainment though. 💈

The DE blades from BIC are manufactured in Greece as well and are excellent. I don't think I'll be trying the disposable though. Thanks

Hi Ben, I have used the disposable Bic Comfort II, which is the same one you used but with a different handle and the lubricating strip. For a long time I cut off my face just like you, but after learning the classic shaving technique with DE safety razors, I started using them again, passing them carefully with the grain with no pressure over my skin and I no longer cut myself anymore. I take the same care as if I were using a BIC Chrome Platinum blade, which is known to be sharp, to avoid problems. Just because it is a disposable razor doesn't mean it shouldn't be used with care.
Just in case, I also use the alum block beforehand even if I'm trying a different aftershave lotion or balm.

Last time I used a disposable razor was unfortunately when I had to do a week in county jail. Good times 😆-_-

I have not had much luck with Bic razors. Find the blades to be too aggressive

Maybe some of the nicks are also the fault of the bar soap lather?
