Hey there! I just found your channel, great reaction! To answer some of the questions you had: - The fox is called "The Gatekeeper" (in the game she is a character called Ahri). Her job is to guide lost souls to the big tree you see at the end. So they may find peace and happiness there. - The creepy gate Yone ends up going through is the entrance to the realm of "The Collector" (in the game he is called Thresh). He is basically the opposite of the fox: He wants to trap as many souls as possible in his realm, so he can drain power from them and torment them for fun. The moment Yone sees all the dead people from his former school he is so crushed his soul can not find peace. So the fox fades away. - In the world of League of Legends there are only 10 major demons and countless lesser ones, who are called "Azakana". We do not know the name of the Azakana in this video since knowing their names gives you power over them. Azakana are always associated with negative feelings and start growing inside the souls of their victims, feeding on their emotions. Yone was looking for Yasuo for years and he didn't really want to fight against him - but it was his duty since Yasuo was accused of murder and fled before the trial, rendering him guilty in everyones eyes. Yone felt like he had failed his brother, failed his school and failed his master, the person who got murdered. Of course this situation was a perfect opportunity for an Azakana to feed on. As Yone was consumed by his grief and rage in the spirit realm, the Azakana inside him came to full power, awakened and attacked with the intent of possessing his body, so he gains a physical form. This whole story is based on an event called "Spirit Blossoms". In the lore this takes place in the country of Ionia and during that time the souls of dead loved ones can grow flowers on the giant tree of the Gatekeeper and leave messages for relatives through them. So the veil between the worlds is thinnest at that night, which probably allowed Yone to come back to life with the Azakana's powers. The mask of the Azakana is stuck on his face and he doesn't really understand what he has become. His current story is about him hunting down other Azakana to learn more about them and find a way to get rid of his mask. The event was a lot of fun and IMO is one of the best ones Riot has done until now. Apart from the game and the really beautiful skins you could experience a visual novel in which you had to build relationships with the characters and help them resolve their problems. Imagine a dating sim in which you also council your love interest in how to find peace with themselves. I hope this helps you a bit. If you have more questions please feel free to ask :)
actually they are not the characters i hope you know it, the gatekeeper and the collector are just Ionian miths that are reflected on the ingame characters, and im pretty sure that spirit blossom yone wasnt yone but one of the "2 brothers" (they are Ionian mith's too)(and yeah i know you wrote this one month ago but wanted to clear that up)
@@MasterZatskow Yes, I know that. But this was one of the first non-music-videos they watched. They didn't know anything about the lore or any characters. So giving them more people to look up made way more sense to me than trying to explain an abstract myth in a land they never even heard of about cursed ghost swords growing out of the ground. In my text was enough information to overwhelm someone new to the lore already, so I tried to keep it as simple as possible.
Intrigue: 10 out of 10 Answers: 2 out of 10 Awesomeness: infinity out of 10 I did say it was kinda prequel, I didn't promise any answers. :D Also some cool details, the statue in spirit realm opened eyes, the floating wolf head could be reference to another champion, and the mountain is actually in shape of another champion sleeping, Lillia, the fae fawn, she has her own short trailer too. League cinematics are dangerous.. each one leads to at least one or two another :D
Way. Too. Good. I want a whole show. Yess i noticed the one in the tree in the foreground but not the others. The storybuilding across cinematics is just out of this world.
Yessss, we watched it again after this and picked up on a few more things including that! Thanks for confirming that for us! Did Yone merge with his demon self at the end? Or what happened there?
@@ashiechristinait’s kind of like he “conquered his demon” but it stuck itself on him at the last moment. He’s currently hunting other demons to find a way to remove it, but i feel like if he manages to take it off, he’ll go back to being dead. Cuz it’s because of it that he revived. Maybe it’s just me
@@ashiechristina It was not yet clear in the lore on how but the demon (Azakana) somehow attached on Yone as a Mask that gives him the power to see other Azakanas and other beings that wear Azakan mask. Normally, you will need to know the name of the Azakana to defeat it and store its essence as a Mask. That's why in the scene when Yone is stabbing the demon on the head, he said it's name.
that is not Yone this is a legend a story that Ionian people believed. but what happened in the legend story is kinda similar to what happened to Yone.

The reason why Yone have a white hair here is because he is in the spirit world after dying after fighting Yasuo.
