Damn. You need to remade this videos, hire an editor and make them in more modern TH-cam fashion, like Jeff from athlean-x. Perfect combination of real knowledge and entertainment. You have so much knowledge, make it available!

hi steve, big fan. can you elaborate on proper hand positioning when swinging, cleaning, and snatching. in some of your videos i see you have your thumb leading the way through the legs (or your thumb turned down) and on others i see you have your pinky leading the way (or thumb turned up). side note: rkc talks about "engaging the lats" but they teach the thumb down style. i find that a thumb up approach allows me to keep my lats engaged more easily, so why are they teaching it the other way??

Steve, does it matter when starting the hand position at the beginning does it matter when you grab the bell with your hand with your thumb forward or to the rear. I have been doing the grip where my thumb is to the rear. I was watching and noticed that i have been doing the opposite of what your video is demonstrating.. does it matter

Sorry I am replying 12 years later but I get calluses while doing snatches with 24 kg but am fine while working with 16kg or 20 kg have loosened to hook grip but still have issues with 24kg.
