Sadly from 2030 on all combustion cars including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU :-( In Germany the Green party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing petrol stations to only one state operated peoples gas station per city. From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil buring cars any longer...

You can't buy new combustion cars. You can still drive old cars before 2030 and car parts will still be available. They can't get rid of all classic and petrol cars as ones like these would then be worth way too much money, so of course they can still be driven on the street. Brand new cars will be all electric as it would be illegal to export petrol cars by 2030.

It may be to make the exhaust notes louder, basically stops the silencer that in the exhaust from working.
