Inside the Mind of a Pro takes you right to the heart of the action in major poker tournaments on the professional circuit. As the 2023 World Series of Poker gets underway, Team Winamax knows it will have its work cut out to surpass the previous 3 editions, during which it managed to win no fewer than 6 bracelets in total. With a mix of new faces and established names, this season offers a new exploration of the highest level of play, filmed exclusively at the heart of the ancestral temple of poker: the WSOP.

i remember playing $5 k buyin at wsop. Joao was on my table day 1. He tanked 5 minutes every street. every hand that he played and went to showdown he ate 15 minutes off the clock.

I don’t know how Isildur found a call with A9. Joao is capable of transforming JJ+ in a bluff but his value range was mostly better Aces and his preflop bluff range was mostly weak Aces that never play as a bluff. I would say he is crushed at least 75% of the times
He played awful: as a pro for Winamax he should have known to adjust to how the table was playing instead of bluffing so often. As one of the top comments said, “Critical, precise,
and very aware of everything going on at the table.” He should’ve adjusted. You had heart but not the right cards or right timing. Good luck on your next one João
He didn't play awful but you said something right, he should adjust his game to the table, aka adjust his game for the image that he created on other players at the table of himself.
The reason for being called so often on his bluffs was because the table was aware that he was bluffing very often. When that happens you try not to bluff so often because you kinda of loose the credibility on the table.
@@bedtimeparadox and yet still continued to bluff in retrospect. Perhaps awful is too harsh of a word. Simply put, he played bad.
He talks too much, and a bit too full of himself: “not many take that line, blah blah blah”. I liked the other pro’s more, but probably that’s just me 😊

yes.. he shouldn't be leading Paired board, i can understand 234 345 456 567 ecc ecc, but 533 againt isildur is SUICIDE, its an out of line spot 100%
i think isildur isn't folding when he snaps you on the turn, a Broadway has to come on the river to make him fold A9s. A ten get him the tank but he will pay you, he knows you, it was a good check on the river, he will bluff catch some AceX, its isildur, you could play vs other player at the table and not facing a 3bet pot vs Isildur, because u know he is not going to fold Ax suited againt you.. :(

@@zainsyed9811 Well, he is good but not one of the best, some hands he played were just no sense. for exemple, if you choose to take an agressive line, why not taking it preflop, anyway, he might be good, but really not impressive.
