They laugh about Mk.7 but there's a mod "Blueprint Extensions" which indeed has a humongous blueprinter. And it's so great! You can actually blueprint railroad junctions, build gentle curves and so much more. Or just experiment with different designs. I wish we could copy-paste on the fly (i.e. copy existing stuff without building it from scratch on a separate Blueprinter) - for example, by selecting an area etc. But alas, it's just not in the cards .
I want a Mark 4 and I don't thinkt hat is moving goalposts because the parameters of the question were changed. The Mark 3 would be enough if not for the addition of the Quantum Printer. You really should be able to fit all building with some inputs/outputs into a Blueprint designer.
At some point they are just gonna have to abandon the blueprint designer building entirely and condense it into a click and drag function on the build tool.
I think the entire concept of a buildable blueprint designer that you have to build within is just flawed. I think it would've been better to have implemented it like an infinite virtual environment with creative tools enabled and just let players build designs as big as they like in there with no build or power costs.

You heard it here! Confirmation we’re getting a mk6! If they try to deny it, just remember the mk6 belts!!
