    "Don’t explain your philosophy. Embody it." - EPICTETUS -

      @StoicPro  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Epictetus's wisdom is powerful. "Don't explain your philosophy. Embody it." It emphasizes the importance of living by one's principles rather than merely talking about them. In upcoming content, I'll explore practical ways to embody philosophical principles. If you have specific aspects you'd like covered, let me know. Thank you for sharing!

    "The mind that is anxious about the future is miserable." - Seneca

    • @StoicPro
      @StoicPro  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Seneca's insight is profound. An anxious mind, preoccupied with the future, can indeed lead to misery. It's a reminder to cultivate mindfulness and find peace in the present moment. In an upcoming video, I'll delve deeper into Seneca's wisdom on overcoming such anxieties. If you have more thoughts or questions, feel free to share!

    I can assure you! That someone who has major Tinnitus since at least 4 years old! I'm what is called a proactive listener! I have larger ears that I face people I am taking to! Speaking behind my back? Often lost or unheard! The noisier the place is? Im gone! I can't decipher the talk! Best effective tool in that scenario? Undertalk! Instead of trying to talk over people, you speak normally close to people! It works! I promise! 😊😊😊😊 be a listener not a talker or yeller!😊😊

    • @StoicPro
      @StoicPro  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Your proactive listening approach is commendable, especially in challenging situations like dealing with Tinnitus. Undertalking in noisy environments is a smart strategy for effective communication. Embracing being a listener proves valuable. Keep sharing your insights🙃

    Silence can be devastating when dealing with a loud mouthed bully. My brother in law was an arrogant know-all with a massive chip on his shoulder. He started fights with everyone, usually when he first met them.
    Having experienced his abusiveness once, and realising that he didn't want to listen and learn, the next time he started his crap, I totally ignored him. I didn't acknowledge his presence, nor react in any way to his taunts and rudeness. He wanted a verbal battle, and I was not going to give him one.
    I just quietly continued with working on a craft project whilst he paced up and down like a caged tiger, bellowing his nonsense and becoming louder and more aggressive with frustration.
    After about 10 minutes, he was almost sobbing. Still I said nothing, knowing that my silence was a potent weapon that he couldn't break.
    Finally, the message sank into his thick skull. He could yell and screech, dredging up every insult in his repertoire for hours on end...and it was 100% futile.
    He stormed out, slamming the door, complaining to others how unfriendly I was, lol.
    He never tried that stunt again.

      Try it if you ever need to - it's hilarious fun. The bully exhausts hinself with screaming and fuming with rage, while you sit, as calm as the Sphinx, quietly enjoying the show, knowing that no matter what he tries, you are NOT going to play his game. Lol.

    People will do so if they like the content, first they must listen to the content.
    Requesting people such at any time is a put off & yet especially before the content, is a big no no in my opinion.
