I made the point that this should equal or offset Anzalone’s run defense at least, yesterday on the Lions subreddit and got a lot of pushback. Good to see someone agree with me. I think he has a role going forward no matter who’s on the field.

Rather , he’s a highly complimentary piece to pair with Campbell or Anzalone. After he gets settled in , we’re going to hear what an outstanding acquisition he was . Not impressed at all and I am a lions and Brad Holmes fan. I don’t care for hyper emotional players, nor do I like his tackling fundamentals - poor. I could care less how “violent” he seems. You don’t need to be violent to perform correctly. Leave the drama home and bring your mind to work.

Yes it couldve been the dolphins system, but regardless hes been trash. Its ok to admit that this is just a ST/depth player and not a future piece. Also if you been here a while you should be aware on this channel we don’t talk up players unless we like what we see on film. It’s actually few and far between. If you understand what we do defensively it’s pretty obvious why we signed him. He’s literally a perfect fit. Recorded the most tackles of his career in 2023 and came back a captain this season. Miami has been a dumpster fire this season. I suspect that played a role in his efforts.
Too bad he didn’t have qb who cared about winning. I’m glad Detroit finally rid themselves of the mediocre Stafford. Yes mediocre. He choked in the big games or the games he should have won. He was the version of the cowboys Tony romo but for the lions. Put up solid numbers but never deliver key wins.
