  • This a very basic tutorial from removing tongue tension and prevent it pushing on your larynx.
    WARNING: Never use force while touching the larynx/throat area. Be very mindful, gentle and careful.
    Take as much time as possible for this one, and repeat it as often and as long as it is helpful.

    Hi Linor - great stuff, as always! So much singing instruction misses this key part of giving concrete tools to provide direct feedback to accomplish the goal. I'm going to incorporate this method into my warmup routine.

    hello Linor, thank you for your videos! I have a question: when I open my throat like you explain, it feels great, I feel the cool air in my throat, I breathe easier and it is easier to sing but my throat still hurt after one or two songs. I was thinking about the cords closure but after more than one month doing the uh oh exercise and the other one you show in your video on cord closure, it is not getting better. any advice? thanks

    I would guess that most people have tongue root tension/engagement when they vocalize and I would also guess that 90% of TH-cam video instruction shouldn't be undertaken until after you get the tongue root tension solved.

    Dear Linor, are the holes under the hyoid bone?

    • @linororen
      @linororen  ปีที่แล้ว

      yes, just under. Personally I find it easier to think of them in relation to the trachea, because you can trace it as I showed in the video. Whatever wroks, though!

      @@linororen he sings the “creepy song” as most people call it on insidious. I actually thought it was a female tbh. Believe it’s falsetto for that song but there is a few I’ve seen of him where he has a deep voice with more of an Elvis tone. I’ve seen a couple reactions to his music and found them pretty harsh on him because he was eccentric.
