    Excellent explanation! My husband took a heart attack in April at only 52 years old. Loves his carbs, alcohol, energy drinks and cigars. Tryclercides were 384 and HDL was 32 at the time of his heart attack - 90% blockage in his LAD.

      I am so sorry to hear this. I really am trying to get the word out to as many people as I can about how we have all been hoodwinked by the big food and drug companies as to what true "health" means. These businesses do not make money off healthy people. I hope to teach more people BEFORE they end up in the medical system.

    Plenty of people talk about this in youtube but you are the only one I have come across so far who says the same thing twice (or maybe thrice!) , which is absolutely what dummies like myself need. I find this all extremely complicated and appreicate repetition. It is shocking how we have all been so badly misinformed and misled over the years.

    Tired of the looks I get from people after my 52 pound weight loss asking how I did it. "Dropped all sugar and went on a high fat high protein diet".

      I lost 40lbs in two months by simply not eating meat. Only fruits, vegetables, grains, nuts, seeds, beans, and legumes. You people have to realize there’s no one size fit all approach when it comes to eating healthy. I also use a continuous glucose monitor not sugar spikes. All carbs aren’t the same.

      Please do not look at this as a weight loss strategy. This is all about HEALTH. Our bodies must get essential nutrients from what we eat. It needs amino acids, nine of which are essential to health and our bodies do not make. These come from protein. If you do not eat this, your body will preserve your organs by breaking down your muscles in order to get the amino acids it needs. There are similar mechanisms for the essential fatty acids our body needs. Many "diets" cause people to lose "weight", but it is because they are starving their bodies of these essesntial nutrients. The key is to give your body the nutrients it needs while at the same time allowing it to use its own fat stores for its main energy source, like we were made to do.

    At whatever point - those carbs can also be converted into fructose... hello fatty liver and other internal organs

    • @dr.stevehughlett
      @dr.stevehughlett  27 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Yes, once you start storing fat around your internal organs, you are on your way to organ damage. Keep your insulin levels low, by keeping your carbohydrate intake low, and your body will start eating the fat off your organs and allow them to heal.

    If arterial wall damage had anything to do with cholesterol it would reek havoc on the entire vascular system and not just around the heart. Endothelial cells are damaged by arterial scurvy caused by a lack of vitamin C in our diets.

      " Endothelial cells are damaged by arterial scurvy caused by a lack of vitamin C in our diets."
      Scurvy is not caused by the "lcak of vitamin c in the diet". It is caused by eating sugar and carbohydrates which will rapidly deplete vitamin c in the body....

    • @dr.stevehughlett
      @dr.stevehughlett  วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Actually, there is damage all over the entire vascular system. It is just way more noticeable with the heart. Vitamin C is a good anti-oxidant. I 100% agree with that. The question is why do we need all of these anti-oxidants now? This did not used to be the case. This is due to the massive amount of chemicals we are subjected to consistently in our environment, causing excessive free radical formation. Some chemicals we can control and some we can't. What we CAN 100% control are the chemicals we put in our mouths. The worse chemicals we eat on a daily basis are those in man-made food. These would be vegetable and seed oils, fructose, artificial flavoring, artificial coloring, artificial sweeteners, pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, etc. Also, we have a lot more free radicals produced when we use glucose as our energy source instead of the fat that we were bulit to use. ALL of this could be avoided by eating single ingredient, Godl-made food. That is real meat, real vegetables (seasonally) and real fruit (seasonally). Also, if you do eat vegetables and fruits, please eat them, do not drink them.

      @@johnng3939 It’s a continuum. Normal up to about 5.7 Most say Type 2 starts at about 6.5. Bad diabetes leads to numbers in the teens. You are right on the cusp, which means you should be able to improve your numbers by reducing insulin resistance as the Dr is outlining. Absolutely you need to be on a low carb lifestyle. The only argument is how much and what type of fat you should eat. If you are overweight, go keto for a while(meaning NO carbs), if not overweight low carb may be enough.

      Try keeping your insulin down by avoiding man-man food, drinking only water, unsweet coffee or unsweet tea, eating only meat, vegetables that grow above the ground and maybe an occasional fruit if you want. Also, if you can stop all snacking and go at least 16 hours without eating (intermittent fasting), you will see that A1c come way down. This will also lower your triglycerides, lower your total cholesterol and increase your HDLs ("good" cholesterol). Please let me know if you have any questions.

      I am truly curious as to which part you believe is nonsense? I really do want to get people off of medications and out of the medical system. I am confident that this can be done by changing from man-made food to a whole food, single ingredient, God-made nutrition. I do not look at any of this as one "diet" versus another. The whole issue is eating the nutrients we MUST eat in order to live, grow, thrive and survive, Those nutrients are amino acids from protein, fatty acids from healthy fat, vitamins and minerals from multiple sources and water.
