You had me thinking of the childhood friendships that I had growing up around age 12 and what those are today. Coincidentally, my family had our delayed Christmas today thanks to COVID and I was telling my nephew stories from my youth involving one of those best friends. He was quite shocked at the mischief I got into as a child hanging out with some "bad" kids. He asked me "Why haven't you told me these stories before?" It's because each memory requires a certain trigger to access. We have childhood memories we may never access again, unless we get the right key to unlock them which could be a smell, a sound, something visual or a feel. Besides our senses, memories are also linked to other memories. Meaning one memory can trigger another which can trigger another, etc.

That’s absolutely true. The recesses of the subconscious hold a seemingly endless supply of “forgotten” memories. They collect dust and fade over time, but they can be blown off and brought back into full clarity out of nowhere.

So many great and/or famous actors worked on Stand By Me like Rob Reiner, Wil Wheaton, Corey Feldman, Jerry O'Connel, Kiefer Sutherland, John Cusack and Richard Dreyfuss.

Great video! Always enjoyed the movie and thought Sutherland was straight up terrifying. See you next week.

Maturity sucks when it comes to friendships!! What is shared and held in common at 12yrs of age is pure, simple, unexpectant of eachother. That is lost with age. Maturity sucks!!

Yeah the responsibilities and whatnot that come with adulthood certainly have a way of interfering with the zest of youth. I won’t let time win though!!!! (Says the guy that turns 40 this year lol)

Come on, "The Breathing Method" is the most disturbing from "Different Seasons"?
    You must be kidding!
Did you even read "Apt Pupil"?
