Jim if I were you I would create a metallic label with my name and the refurbishing date for every radio.
Great job, thanks for sharing this with us.

My dad always said that these old radios were built with the cheapest garbage quality components that could be bought, mostly substandard wire and capacitors.

@@thomas-i5o7h I’m sure, in the beginning, like everything else on the planet it was a learning curve 😉

The pushbutton RCA model 16X-14 is just as bad as this one! Glad I haven't bought a push button radio from anyone yet.
Best to go with DIAL ONLY type AM , AM/SW, and AM /phonographs FIRST before tackling prewar push button radios. Mechanically they are quite the puzzle sometimes. The RCA book doesn't tell you the inductances of the coil sections, so
if one is open you are screwed. You will have to remove wires found and reconnect it to find total resistance in that
section. Then you must rewind it with new stuff! That doesn't include all the rotten wiring which is also time consuming
    to replace! What a mess.

Has anyone tried repairing the push buttons on the T-62 RCA Victor... Strangest mechanical set-up I've seen.
