@@andersonmendes9212 If guitarists played guitar instead of stupidly copying what has already been done. We should find talented people. In addition, with the fashion for sexy girls with big necklines who play very moderately, this is not going to help the creation.
marcello is a bad ass. he had an album back in the late 80s or early 90s. this guy can do macalpine becker moore and all the 80s shredders. they all had that shrapnel records sound. sick player for sure. he could imitate anyone including the late and great shawn lane ….
I actually took a couple lessons from Rob in the early 00's ...ended up buying an Ibanez PGM from him. He used to make fun of dudes that played Marshalls, said they sounded like tractors. Funny guy and one of the best players I've ever seen.
I think, once these guys get to a certain TOP level, I really don't care who's better though. Both are awesome players that's for sure. Since both styles are very similar, I would say, they are equal. Each do have their own strength and weakness (we all do).
Terrible click bait title, excellent tabs! I'm conflicted. Also, Rob Marcello is a remarkable guitarist. No need for comparisons, his talent speaks for itself.
Unfortunately if I put some thing simple like Rob Marcello - Old School guitar transcription, less people are likely to watch. It’s a shame but I feel like there is so many videos flooding TH-cam that it’s difficult to stand out. Hopefully some people who haven’t heard of Rob get to hear of him and hopefully have better access to play this tune because of the tabs. I always wanted to play this as a kid and figured why not learn it now and share!
I came up with this title based on having “comparing conversations” with guitar friends growing up. The older you get the less you care about comparing people, but when you are young it’s unfortunately something that you kind of do.
@@chrisdelanyguitarist No, I totally get the incentive, I'm just sad that it's become almost a necessary feature just to get people clicking the video. As for Rob, I couldn't agree more. Not just as a player, but as a writer. The song is an obvious tribute to guys like Tony MacAlpine, Vinnie Moore, Jason Becker, but it doesn't come across as mere pastiche; it's very clever, and catchy.
Definitely not! Just a title to intrigue some that may know about Jason Becker but not Rob Marcello. They have similar neo-classical characteristics but are very different. I had friends who listened to a lot of Jason Becker and Rob Marcello growing up so we would always compare them.
I guess its a matter of taste.... i'd rather listen to Marcello than to Becker or lane. Not taking anything from schawn or Jason but rob his just amazing in my opinion.
@@KD-nb3mp Rob just has a special sound that I love to listen to. Comparing them technically isn’t really important but rather which style do you prefer.
There’s actually 1 guy that id consider being on Shawn’s level. Only guy who could just about match Shawn as far as technical ability.. and is more than likely the only person on earth…and that’s Allen holdsworth. Shawn is the overall best guitarist I’ve personally seen..especially when it comes to speed and accuracy. I hate jazz music really bad but I gotta give it to allen. Only person that I’ve ever seen that is on Shawn’s level. All out speed is probably the one thing that holdsworth wouldnt hardly be able to keep up with shawn. Jazz is horrible to me but as far as skill..jazz usually has the best guitarist.
NOT better than, but sounds very much like something Jason Becker might play. I hear a very soft attempt, but no Becker score. Guitarists keep trying to sound like JB, but cant find his soul and writing style. Shredding random scales and arpeggios just won't cut it. JB had a compositional recipe that no-one can copy.
Nah, Jason is much better and creates better music. What i notice about this fella he is a whole lot better and way more easy to listen to when he is not playing this neoclassical stuff. He is not bringing anything new to the table or separating himself from the pack of other players that play like this. He his better served to create music with good metal, rock, pop type beats with lots of melody to showcase his lead work.
Stupid comparison. Jason is a virtuosic musician, not just another player that can sweep picking. Jason is something that happens once in a century or two.

Rob is one of my absolute favorites
Rob is amazing! I wish more people knew about him!
@@chrisdelanyguitarist I do too
Jason Is on another level!!
Jason was much more academic in his apergios more easy.

Hes right up there with the best shredders of all time. No doubt .
Jason destroys it, he's on legendary impossible level, up there with the Olympians and only 17 years old

Well said! I absolutely agree!
Sounds like japanese rock 😍
The greatest shredder nowadays is rob marcello
He’s so good!
vinnie moore
Are there any songs where he plays together with his older brother Kee Marcello? Kee's guitar work in Europe is Out Of This World 👑🇸🇪❤️
I hadn’t looked around for anything like that but that would be so cool! Kee is a phenomenal guitar player!
I have not heard anything this amazing in a long time since christian munizer solo stuff
Muito obrigado!!!!!
Nice video
Yes. Most definitely.
🤣 IKR nice joke😂
Gah damn!
Some fast playing!!

Shawn Lane is just one of the greatest guitarists to have ever lived! I did a video on one of Shawn’s songs.

It’s called “Old School”
Jason Becker would bury this man.

Jason Becker is the next level higher

combination of yngwie & jason...
The short and long answer is, NO! Jason got sick at a very young age, there is no telling what he would have done.
