Can you baton wood with your knife?

In this video I answer the question, "Can you baton wood with your knife?" I think that with today's modern steels and thick blade designs, it is 100% possible to baton with your knives, but there is a method you should be following.
I used the Helko Werk Expedition Axe to split wood. I then used the ESEE 6 and Bark River Bravo 1.5 to baton wood.
