This means the hospitals shift the cost to those who can pay, therefore you get a bill for $500.00 for a "portable cooling care unit" which is actually an icepack! However, I didn't have to wait more than a week for surgery.
I worked as a Medical Secretary in the NHS for a number of years and whenever I had to phone the IT Department and they’d ask if the computer would allow me to do something, I’d reply “Computer says no!”
It's even funnier as this is exactly what hospital and doctor receptionists are like in England 😂 If it's January and your dying they say "hmm can't see you today.... is next June helpful?"
Its not even a comedy sketch anymore, it's just about the level of service you get from these sort of people these days, including the flipping questionaire
