This means the hospitals shift the cost to those who can pay, therefore you get a bill for $500.00 for a "portable cooling care unit" which is actually an icepack! However, I didn't have to wait more than a week for surgery.

This is so real. We all have similar experiences in hospitals . Last time I took my cousin to the hospital as he received a letter for appointment. Went to the hospital receptionist she said sorry no appointment according to the computer. We then had to request an answer from the cardiologist who sent the letter.
