Ain't nobody leavin' here till they sing the blues. This is a fun movie. It is also the one introduced me to Elisabeth Shue who is always a win. I had totally forgotten about Calvin Levels...he really is 'So Cool' in this movie. Living just 180 miles south of Chicago, every time I go to the city I see that iconic glass building and think of this movie. Last thing: over the years I had probably meet and ran sound for Albert Collins at festivals and concerts 12 or so times. Mister Collins and his son were both always good people to work with. Great job as always!! Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving.
This is the movie that introduced me to Elizabeth Shue, not the Karate Kid and from the opening moments during the credits you can't help but fall in love with her. I hope you enjoyed your Thanksgiving, Morgan. Thank you very much for this awesome channel!👍
Anyone else notice the shot of the city with Gimme Shelter by Rolling Stones playing over the soundtrack? This was three years before Martin Scorsese used it in Goodfellas.
Actually one of my favorite movies. And I never realized that Penelope Ann Miller played the friend! I had no idea!

Great vid, Morgan! I forgot so much about this film, really appreciate the re-cap as well as the commentary.
Thank you, Terri!
💌 thank you Morgan
I do remember them singing that song on stage.
I always liked this movie.
(And, I never knew there was a "Trainspotting 2"!)
Trainspotting 2 is a blast! Came out in 2017, same cast and director.
Great analysis, very helpful.
Thank you for the video.
Did not know Vincent D was Thor!!!!
great video, as always.
I watched this film at my friends house, I believe it was for his birthday.

Oh man ....supergirl GOOD LUCK MORGAN 😂😂😂
This is a Fun Adventure Fantasy of a Movie, Critics said Chicago was Portrayed as too Sinister, huh, they're the ones living in Fantasy Candy Land
Do you remember the film Alan Quatermain and the Lost City of Gold ?
Or Return to Oz?
It is hard to tell if only the small circle of people I know watched them.
A great time when even dangerous street gangs didn’t have guns. Lol.
Elizabeth Shue does not look like a High School Senior....
