What impressed me most was how Lawrence managed to keep the unit value equal, despite being down a lot in income for the entire match. Truly a crazy match.
Man what a day. Just came back from seeing Deejus' most recent replay analysis about an amazing match, and now I'm seeing another one that could rival it. edit: Lmao I just realized lawrencea1997 was also in that Deejus vid too
Assuming the unit cap is 50, the reason for the copter base blocking at 39:50 was likely cause he couldn't build from all bases anyway unless he sacked/deleted
I think this match definitely had the most megatanks I’ve seen in standard. I was ready to comment “What about second megatank?” but there were way more lol.
Third. 900 elo is pretty good anyways, so new players can definitely learn something on the reviews. Maybe not the more advanced players but at least they could comment on the review about what's correct and what's not.
LIttle late to this one but when Emorelleum flipped the two middle bases and there was still a half an hour left on the video I knew the wackiness was about to begin. Insane match, lived up to the hype.
I can't believe lawrence came back from this, incredible. I thought Emo really had it in the phase around day 16 / 38 minutes in, losing the two base, failing hte attack on the south-east corner, being behind by every metric except for power charge.
Think the timestamp was around 42:00 I know Terrain Stars scale with HP, so a city that offers 30% defense only offers 15% defense if you're at 5HP. Does other defense not do the same? i.e. Von Bolt's day to day 10% defense and a CO Power defense? I assumed those also scale with defense. Do they not?
So, yes, terrain star defense scales with HP, but natural defense (like VB's or from COP/SCOP) doesn't and stays at 10% regardless of what the HP is. So to follow with your example, a 10hp VB tank on a city has 40% defense (30 city + 10 d2d), but if that tank is at 5hp then it's as if it had 25% defense (5hp = 50%, 50% of 30 is 15, plus 10 natural, gives 25). Same thing with Prime Tactics, only 10% defense is natural, the rest is from terrain stars, so Lash 10hp units are the deadliest, but if they're injured then they lose on those extra stats. I hope that answers your question
@@humita.channel Oh! So, a 5 HP VB unit on a city has more defense (25%) than a 5 HP Adder unit on a mountain or HQ (20%). That makes a lot of sense! Thanks for explaining this with such clarity.
@@Al0neStillAlive Is it really? The whole game Lawrence failed to protect his properties and bases. Played like a total buffoon and only won because Emorellum wasn't aggressive enough
@@GatitasecsiiIt looked pretty bad for him, I didn't expect him to come back from this, but saying this is undeserved? No way you are serious. He did very well defending on what he deemed necessary. Especially against Lash, who is definitely better for early game. Having more bases for example is good, but the income is very limited for 4 bases + airport and they weren't super far away from Unit Cap a lot of the time.
@@Rocky712_ it really didn't seem that way, to me it looked like he stumbled onto victory just because the lash player didn't keep pressure on the top left when he totally could and there was nothing Andy could've done.
Given that AE is a legendary game. I don't fucking get how did they come with the reboot. It's just a game for babies. Why they didn't make it more mature? How is it? I hate it. It's for kindergarten.

Another mistake was not having Artillery to siege Lawrence's base
When you thought you saw everything in Advance Wars...
lol, they really tore this map apart

That was infact the most insane Advance Wars match I have ever seen.

Great replay, I was thinking of doing an analysis myself but I’m only 900 rated
you should do it!
I second this! You can teach others and learn from others at the same time.

Epic game, those Mega Tanks made it truly 'mega'nificent".
Lawrence ping ponged this guy 💀
I don't think I have ever seen unit cap reached on this map. What a wild game.

WOW. I was very surprised after like the 41 minute mark.
Lol - in the corner base instead of the Megatank - may as well have gone piperunner
Grit would be busted on this map getting free base locks woth rockets in the middle.
Grit is already banned on Std maps. I know he's available in HF but idk if there's a HF version of this map.
Most undeserved victory ever. I hate how the winner played the whole match.
That's an odd thing to say in Advance Wars.

Seems on-brand for Andy. Winning by what appears to be blind luck despite questionable plays.
