It makes sense when you think of it. They probably have guitars panned hard L & R. I need the drums, bass and vocal to be almost as loud as my guitars. Just shave 3dB from the sides of the original track so my guitars can cut trough. 🙂
Ian Belmont go to SheetHappens publishing, you can buy the official tab for this and many other records. That’s how I learned it. I think it’s three notes that I’m tapping, I don’t know what they are, but you can slow down the video and check it that way 🙂
Hey man, did you use the Sheet Happens tabs for this? I've been working through Partycrasher and Career Suicide and I've noticed a few...discrepancies that have been driving me nuts haha
Yeah I’ve been using SheetHappens tabs for AWS, Strung Out and Propagandhi. So far they are spot on. What songs did you find are not as they should be?
@@guitarpunkcovers So it's really strange- there are some songs and sections that are totally spot on but there are others that don't seem to add up. Obviously the books have been an invaluable resource in general but I was curious if you noticed anything while working through the AWS tracks. One section that's definitely wrong is the opening to 5 to 9, which is apparently supposed to be 7-7-9-9 instead of 7-7-7-7 like the book has. The chord voicings in Die While We're Young also seem really off to me, from watching the live videos of the song it looks like they're starting the song on 12-12-14 on D/A/D (which is much easier) whereas the book has it 5-7-9 on A/D/G and includes a 5th-10th fret stretch as part of the main riff that's totally negated by playing the riff on the lower strings. At this point I can't tell if I'm crazy or just terrible at reading tabs haha
@@andrewlesage3171 i’ll check it out and get back to you, can’t remember all of it from the top of my head, but yeah the 5 to 9 sounds wrong just by reading your comment
@@guitarpunkcovers I'm curious what you think if you end up checking it out. Clearly it hasn't affected the quality of your covers, you've been putting out some seriously incredible work my dude! I use you for a reference when I'm trying to learn these tunes haha
