A couple of points of interest regarding two brooks you visited - Bear Brook gets its name from an inn that stood in Walton Street, just a short distance from the canal basin. It was called the Bear and was a small building of Tudor age, demolished in the 1960s. California Brook runs through a small part of Aylesbury called California. The name appeared in the mid-19th century. Gold rush reference maybe?
I've lived in Aylesbury for 25 years and I've always pronounced the river Thame with a silent H as "Tame" like the town Thame just outside of Aylesbury. Is George's pronunciation incorrect?
The old building on the grand Union canal is Hills And Partridge flour mill. The river and the town of Thame has for centuries been pronounced with a silent H as Tame pronouncing it any other way just upsets the local yokels 😂
I’ve lived in Aylesbury since before Vale Parkway, yet I’ve never been there. 1TPH is just pointless, despite it being easier to use, I’d rather bike to Aylesbury proper than have to time things perfectly. BTW it’s pronounced ‘tame’
Very interesting video, so much so, I have just subscribed.

It’s the River THAME, as in Thames without pronouncing the H. Said as TAME.

Yes it’s incorrect your correct I lived in Thames for 20 years ,he also says anyways instead of anyway like Americans do 😂
That bus company always park their buses on the roads, sadly they will be the only bus company here soon. Interesting video :)

I have always found it odd how every other train only goes as far as Aylesbury to be fair
