The Bajoran Interceptor was pleasantly surprising in regards the ship itself being a fun and playable ship. When you combine it's agility with the console, the experimental weapon, the bridge officer layout and the fact also has 5 forward weapons slots, you can run this little fighter with up to 5 heavy cannons, pack in most the consoles and bridge officer skills, weapon set buffs etc to combine into a very punchy "point and shoot" powerhouse.
I was informed of this bajoran ship and the importance of the console becoming my first choice for my tribe of sto avatars. I promptly forgot which one 😅
I missed out on the Bajoran Interceptor when its event was running only to find out its console is pretty much required for all dps builds. Been kicking myself ever since. Needless to say thats gonna be my choice of ship lol
The hyper cooled set not being universal makes me mad. Especially now after the summer event gave us the 5 magics. I wanna do a themed cryowizard build on like a Luna or a Jarok maybe
I have the Vulcan shuttle from way back when. I don't even know if it's available anymore. I wish I would have kept it in the box and made a Vulcan character to put it on.
A good timely video for the upcoming new season event. I agree that Cryptic apparently abandoning the Phoenix prize store. I wasn't too hyped when the announcement was released just because the Phoenix ships are so old by now & Cryptic hasn't added much in ages. For a player that doesn't have much however this is a great opportunity so I suppose this has merit.
9:54 I honestly did not realize all the Lukari skins were interchangeable. I like the seating on the Dranuur, but not how it looks - but I do like the Ho'kuun very much. So that'll be my upgrade trajectory. Thanks for the info.
Oh yeah, the bridge is more important now that you can use it on any ship once you have it on that character, regular Bank and Account Bank, Exchange and even Dabo is handy if you don't want to transwarp to a faction hub.
@@tom611 the Suliban is allot cheaper substitute with less surface area and unique doffs. Dabo is nice but DS9 or Dronz Station are easy enough to get to.

I'm even using Auggies budget build for it. I'm currently running one of the older t5 (upgraded to T5-U) dyson destroyer. It's not the most fun ship I've got and I may switch back to the Lukari for the Space Barbie. Ya just don't see em often. Though the DOMNIO is tempting. Thanks for the info. I'm totally clueless to these ships and no idea they came with unique consols and even some featuring a weapon. That Bajoran Interceptor has both which seems like an amazing get, especially if like me you're a free2play PvE player that's heard that's just about sick of that lighting bolt experimental weapon being the only option available to me.
Love the Denorios Bajoran with the DOMINO console and Voice of the Prophets experimental weapon. With the right setup, it can even standup against powerful PVE boss ships.
When I get bored sometimes, I dig out a Vorgon ship. The last one I ran around in was the Escort with a mixed torps/mines/tetryon cannon build and mostly zoomed and boomed with a bunch of mines and torps... With the Ba'al vanity shield it looks kind of like a 90's stealth fighter... For the gauntlet event TFO, it worked well because of doing figure 8's near the starbase to get the 2 spawn portals and rad portals down without having to do much to aim at anything due to mines.
I don't know what I'll pick with mine, I do know that STO randomly gave me the Bajoran and Vulcan event ships account wide sometime a few years ago. No idea how it happened but they're account unlocked in my event reclaim tab. When I have an epic token, and I've had a few, I usually just play around with whatever I grab until I get tired of it lol. Usually using it on a new toon that I'm running using a set of rules (A Nuzelocke kinda) with a friend or two. TBH I don't often take new characters to endgame, I've played everything so many times. I wish they'd bring back all the old missions they took out, stick them in a separate tab and let us play them.
The Breen ships also have a combined console thing, and I'm half expecting that for this years Winter event, we'll end up getting the new super Dread from Discovery this year. When I was expecting the tokens to be at least a bit more common than they ended up being, I'd grabbed the Carrier and Dreadnought, and I'd been working on the other Breen set with plans for things there...I also kind of hope that we get the new Breen armor as well. Keep wanting to grab the bundle with the Breen Boff, but distracted each time as well...
Got extremely lucky and picked up an Epic Token within my first hundred Phoenix Tokens, still haven't used it because of the single character unlock aspect. The ships not being account unlocks is the single most annoying part of the Phoenix Store due to the token's rarity.
Nice vid. Cold hearted it is for me for some specific builds, also I can put all my breen and cold consoles on a Breen ship just because I can 😂. Already have the Bajoran Interceptor for Domino, never know they may throw that in Mudds at some point for account wide unlock for those of us who couldn’t do the event. Phoenix needs a series overhaul. Either move all the ships into the store and do away with the epics or revamp it with some fresh content. The lockbox and Phoenix drop rates are so bad I don’t even bother with them for epic prizes. Phoenix is for upgrades and lockboxes are only if I have account locked keys from bundles.
The Ferengi Warship was also a surprisingly fun and punchy tanky sort of ship I chose for an alt. Aesthetically it looks great(since I can't get the iconic TNG Marauder) but also has a really nice blend of bridge officer layout and skills to use that allows a player implement meaningful amounts of all 3(Tactical, Engineering and Science) so it's just a really nice ship to play with a lot of skill options and builds to play around with. It's the sort of layout I really wish the Excelsior came with which is a pity because I really love the iconic Excelsior. For now I just have to do with the Fleet Excelsior.
I've only received one epic token which I used to get the DOMINO console from the Bajoran interceptor. There was another old Epic token video (I don't remember if it was you or casualsab who made it) which recommended that Breen Heavy Raider as the other choice for a tactical focused build for the cold hearted trait, I don't use science ships so I will probably go with that this time.
Pretty sure the Samsar ship unlocks the last part of the Kobali mission set. I had it as a reward on Console and liked the whole kobali set for its shield abilities but I don't have that rust bucket on PC. Nor do I think thr Kobali set is really worth it in 2024, but hey! Just my 2ec.
The rarity of the epic prize tokens is ridiculous. The odds should be somewhere around 100 to 1 per rarity level. I literally have thousands of "Ultra Rare" tokens and have never seen an "Epic".

yes, the ho'kuun is. I was referring the the N'kaam when I said it looked like a flying saucer. and if you have both ships, you can use its costume on either.
"There's a reason we say space-Barbie is the true end-game." Facts. This is the reason I currently use a Galaxy and Excelsior Class, and those are arguably the main reason I keep coming back. Besides, when a game becomes easy mode, it almost immediately stops being played. I've always enjoyed devilishly challenging games like Dark Souls, and for STO, I don't ever want to be able to just braindead my way into a fleet of enemy ships without being quickly and rightfully destroyed. Any time we buff something, it's effectively making the game easier and while that might sounds great in theory and certainly has its place in PvP, it effectively kills any sort of compelling attraction to play PvE which for me is what I play STO for. There always needs to be a feeling of danger in a battle, of threat, a need to think, a puzzle that must me solved... not this lazy mind numbing one-shot killer invulnerable ships I see some players with in TFOs. 2 minutes and "Mission complete!" rinse and repeat bs. Maybe that's fun for some but I'd fall asleep and quickly move onto another game. So ya, space Barbie all the way. 👌🤣
If I remember the main nerf that happened to Cold-Hearted was that it used to stack 5 times per player on each target, and was changed to a max of 5 stacks per target no matter how many players are running it. Which means only really the tank would use it in DPS runs. I think some teams are running it at the high end, but with the addition of the Type 7 Shuttlecraft hanger pets I am not sure if that is still the case. Still outside of the top DPS runs, for energy builds that can make use of it, painting -50 all drr on all your targets is still going to be very strong.
With the exception of the Nandi, I only get these ships for the consoles to complete sets. Also to note, if you get one of these ships and don't want to fly it, just Dry Dock it and you can claim the consoles whenever you want (as many times as you want - though I can't imagine that for most of them).
Cold hearted is just something you want someone else to have in a run, but likely they won't because of the decline of a2b. still great for budget builds and for soloing stuff when you simply don't have anything better for the slot. also enemies effected by it are counted as under the effects of a control ability.
To be honest I do not know, I was able to get two from a Mudd bundle and I got the Nandi for my Ferengi character, and the cannon Breen ship, for a Breen character. I hear a lot about the Bajoran ship though.
i might get the domino for my engi capt to help with stuff. I might get the healing one for my tank. I have two epic tokens right now. So this event would make 3.
The epic token rewards desperately need an overhaul. They are the hardest thing to get in the game and I have no use for any of the rewards as I have them unlocked for my account already. That's not a good thing. I have 8 epics in my bank waiting for the day I can either trade them to someone who needs them or they add something new as a reward.
I got the Resreth dreadnought, no idea why, flies like a truck underwater and maneuvers pretty much the same, but what the hell, let's level it up and see.
I think I have all 4 of the recommended ships already. Haven't used any of them lately. I think I used the Breen ship to unlock Cold Hearted on a character most recently.
It's fine. I didn't think there were four! lol Hopefully Deca will upgrade the drop rates on ships. Because we all know Cryptic still believes .000000000000000001 is still a chance. And 'randomly' generated computer numbers aren't random. DOMINO would make a good phaser Tank FAW console. Said the guy who just got a full Ba'ul set without any accuracy buffs becuase he forgot how they nerfed it...
Kobali Samsar Cruiser to complete the Kobali (shield, warp core, impulse engine, and deflector). I have one complete set on my main (Fed Science) and I intend to complete the set on my secondary (Fed Tac).
the heavy raider I have and do not like it, as it always seemed that it could not take too much damage. I like the other 3. though I will add that the kobali samassar cruiser's console is pretty good.
Ya just got my Epic and found out it was character locked, a slight L for me I was planning on getting all the ships on my main console character when it came out 😢
The first year long event campaign on console one of the prizes was a T6 phoenix ship on account unlock I got the Bajorian interceptor with how hard it is to get a epic phoenix token they should just make them account unlocks just saying
I still use aux2bat because I'm terrible at keeping up with metas 😅 Is the new standard for boff cooldown reduction just using Photonic Officer and boimler effect?
Aux2Bat is still the best budget option for boff cooldowns. Boimler Effect mixed with Photonic Officer works too. The meta is Boimler Effect mix with the "of 47" duty officers that lower boff cooldowns, but this method can be very expensive because these doffs aren't cheap (especially because you'll doffs for each specialization). I'd go Photonic Officer with Boimler Effect. Photonic Officer II whenever you can, don't bother with III, if you have a sci seat that high you're better off something like Grav Well. Maybe throw Chrono-Capacitor Array into your Space Rep traits too if you're still struggling with cooldowns.
Since every toon on a account is getting a epic token can't you just take all the Breen ships on alts and reclame the consoles to then have the full set for one Breen ship?

2:37 I hate that ship. I hate that I needed to use a phoenix prize pack to get it's console for my command ships console set, but the dang ship itself can't equip any of the other consoles from the set! What?!
so, i had planned to leave that blank while i finished the lead-in to the top 4 list, but didn't anticipate how long I'd end up talking for it so it feels really awkward. I had planned to just insert some STO footages of my character using the talking emote, but the footage I already have for that got corrupted somehow so I'd have to record and I was running out of time I had available to work on the video so I used some other looping video from my old stream overlay. Looking back on it, I wish I had used something else to fill the game, but I just didn't have enough time to deal with it. The video is chaptered though, so you can skip ahead to the actual list easily.
@@Stu1701 three suggestions for future videos in this scenario, if you don't have anything planned to put there... 1.) Just the video of you recording the audio. That way people know you are talking and not referring to anything in particular. 2.)Pictures of the ships you are referring to. I know this takes extra time in editing. However, this video could serve more purpose than your main topic. If you are referring to other ships, that says they have relevance to the video. Putting Pictures of them up while you mention them helps jogg people's memory of ships they may not remember by name. Or, it informs people new to STO about other ships they may have never known about and it will lead them to do research on those other ships causing more clicks on your channel potentially. I was always told "Pictures are worth 1,000 words." 3.) Throw up some text saying letting people know images will be coming later in the video. (I refreshed the page 3 times thinking my picture wasn't loading before I realized the video was uploaded this way intentionally.) Just a couple of friendly suggestions. I am by no means a content creator. However, I do watch more than my fair share of TH-cam videos and I take note of what other people do.
The thing with Mudd's is that you're not supposed to buy things at full price. They put things in there at a crazy high price, but knock them down on sales by 50%-75% off to make it seem like a they're giving you a good deal, but the sale prices are still not great. Especially the event ships, even at 75% off, they still end up being around 4000 Zen, which is 1000 more than a normal C-store ship at full price, and that's dumb because event ships always have stats that are toned down compared to other ships, so it's like they're charging a penalty for missing the event.
@@Stu1701 having second chance event for the free reward we missed would be nice idea. *specially for ftp, new or returning player's Beside RWCV trait & few others, most reward are for barbie or admiralty anyway. I was thinking the same but it just looks kind of weird to me, doesn't really match the other Vulcan ships with how pointy and blocky it is.

If you have the raider you can have them as pet frigates for the Breen carrier or dreadnaught They keep some traits including raider flanking.

My buddy came back to STO only a month or two ago and he's gotten 3 epic tokens since returning. I've only ever gotten 1 lol.

i was lucky enough in the past to receive a legendary phoenix token and i took the bajoran interceptor
To be honest I do not know, I was able to get two from a Mudd bundle and I got the Nandi for my Ferengi character, and the cannon Breen ship, for a Breen character. I hear a lot about the Bajoran ship though.
i might get the domino for my engi capt to help with stuff. I might get the healing one for my tank. I have two epic tokens right now. So this event would make 3.
The epic token rewards desperately need an overhaul. They are the hardest thing to get in the game and I have no use for any of the rewards as I have them unlocked for my account already. That's not a good thing. I have 8 epics in my bank waiting for the day I can either trade them to someone who needs them or they add something new as a reward.
The only one I didn't have was the Ferengi Marauder, so I guess my collection is complete.
I got the Resreth dreadnought, no idea why, flies like a truck underwater and maneuvers pretty much the same, but what the hell, let's level it up and see.

I think I have all 4 of the recommended ships already. Haven't used any of them lately. I think I used the Breen ship to unlock Cold Hearted on a character most recently.

If you accidentally trade in the epic token in for lower tokens, don't expect support to assist you. Allegedly, not that I would know.
It took me weeks and over 20 emails. I made it happen and got my tokens back. You just have to ride them every day and don't give up.
I'll end up with the Bajorian interceptor.
It's fine. I didn't think there were four! lol Hopefully Deca will upgrade the drop rates on ships. Because we all know Cryptic still believes .000000000000000001 is still a chance. And 'randomly' generated computer numbers aren't random. DOMINO would make a good phaser Tank FAW console. Said the guy who just got a full Ba'ul set without any accuracy buffs becuase he forgot how they nerfed it...

Kobali Samsar Cruiser to complete the Kobali (shield, warp core, impulse engine, and deflector). I have one complete set on my main (Fed Science) and I intend to complete the set on my secondary (Fed Tac).
the heavy raider I have and do not like it, as it always seemed that it could not take too much damage. I like the other 3. though I will add that the kobali samassar cruiser's console is pretty good.
The Samsar has terrible bridge officer layout, but it looks so good and I want iiiittttt. 😫

I’ve got like 5 tokens and nothing to use them on right now.
I have the first one already and have been sitting on a couple of these tokens just hoping they bring something else worth it to them.
I have no idea what to get. The 4 mentioned ships happen to be the 4 phoenix ships I have account wide. I can see why you had trouble finding a 5th.
Ya just got my Epic and found out it was character locked, a slight L for me I was planning on getting all the ships on my main console character when it came out 😢

I still use aux2bat because I'm terrible at keeping up with metas 😅 Is the new standard for boff cooldown reduction just using Photonic Officer and boimler effect?
Aux2Bat is still the best budget option for boff cooldowns. Boimler Effect mixed with Photonic Officer works too. The meta is Boimler Effect mix with the "of 47" duty officers that lower boff cooldowns, but this method can be very expensive because these doffs aren't cheap (especially because you'll doffs for each specialization).
I'd go Photonic Officer with Boimler Effect. Photonic Officer II whenever you can, don't bother with III, if you have a sci seat that high you're better off something like Grav Well. Maybe throw Chrono-Capacitor Array into your Space Rep traits too if you're still struggling with cooldowns.
900 boxes for 1 epic seems like good luck to me. I seem to get 1 epic about every every 2,000 (I actually counted).
I wish there was anything of value for me to buy from the Epic section of the Phoenix Store.

Since every toon on a account is getting a epic token can't you just take all the Breen ships on alts and reclame the consoles to then have the full set for one Breen ship?
what one should i get as some one that has none of these? also haven't played for but a few weeks so there's that to lol i have not gotten far. i can do solo and group but i do not have a group

2:37 I hate that ship. I hate that I needed to use a phoenix prize pack to get it's console for my command ships console set, but the dang ship itself can't equip any of the other consoles from the set! What?!

What's up with the screen after the intro? All I have is nothing...
so, i had planned to leave that blank while i finished the lead-in to the top 4 list, but didn't anticipate how long I'd end up talking for it so it feels really awkward. I had planned to just insert some STO footages of my character using the talking emote, but the footage I already have for that got corrupted somehow so I'd have to record and I was running out of time I had available to work on the video so I used some other looping video from my old stream overlay. Looking back on it, I wish I had used something else to fill the game, but I just didn't have enough time to deal with it. The video is chaptered though, so you can skip ahead to the actual list easily.
@@Stu1701 three suggestions for future videos in this scenario, if you don't have anything planned to put there...
1.) Just the video of you recording the audio. That way people know you are talking and not referring to anything in particular.
2.)Pictures of the ships you are referring to. I know this takes extra time in editing. However, this video could serve more purpose than your main topic. If you are referring to other ships, that says they have relevance to the video. Putting Pictures of them up while you mention them helps jogg people's memory of ships they may not remember by name. Or, it informs people new to STO about other ships they may have never known about and it will lead them to do research on those other ships causing more clicks on your channel potentially. I was always told "Pictures are worth 1,000 words."
3.) Throw up some text saying letting people know images will be coming later in the video. (I refreshed the page 3 times thinking my picture wasn't loading before I realized the video was uploaded this way intentionally.)
Just a couple of friendly suggestions. I am by no means a content creator. However, I do watch more than my fair share of TH-cam videos and I take note of what other people do.

I don't get why free event ship ending in mudd are price 500 lower then anniversary bundle 🤷♂️
The thing with Mudd's is that you're not supposed to buy things at full price. They put things in there at a crazy high price, but knock them down on sales by 50%-75% off to make it seem like a they're giving you a good deal, but the sale prices are still not great. Especially the event ships, even at 75% off, they still end up being around 4000 Zen, which is 1000 more than a normal C-store ship at full price, and that's dumb because event ships always have stats that are toned down compared to other ships, so it's like they're charging a penalty for missing the event.

Beside RWCV trait & few others, most reward are for barbie or admiralty anyway.
Like U mention C-store better choice, then 75% mudd discount. Personnaly a more realistic rebuy, I would grab more items.
