Not only does he play a good Beowulf, he also uses (in my opinion) the best color.
fun fact: that skin is a refrence to snake from metal gear solid, and is called snake bite in the mobile version of skull girls.

In that first fight against Taluda, how did he use Big Band's level 3 with only two meters?!
Jtbomb3000 if you do blockbusters chains in a team, all blockbusters except the first one will cost one less bar than usual (if they cost more than one) So big band only needed 2 meters for his lvl 3, and a lvl 5 super would only need 4

I dont know skullgirls, so you'll have to forgive me, but is Fukua basically an amalgam of Oro and Decapre?

I... don't know what you mean, is it playstyle? Playstyle-wise Fukua is a mix of grappler and zoner, based on an early build that only had Filia's animations, so they made some temporary movesets for her called "Grappler Filia" and "Zoner Filia." A bunch of those moves and other unused Filia moves were used for Fukua.

I mean with the way their specials look and function. Which affects playstyle, I guess. I saw a command grab that looked like Oro's and some specials look like Decapré's fake-out like moves
Do most tournaments require players to have three characters a team or is it just the best thing to do?
No requirement, you just pick what works for you. Combo Breaker this year had two players in Top 8 who ran Solo all tournament, and one of them made it to Grand Finals where Sonicfox figured his odds were better switching to Solo as well.
KillYounglings so whats the advantages of solo and team
Team gives you Assists, Alpha Counters, and multiple health bars, among other things. Solo gives you the most health and damage.
A Solo character has the most explosive comeback potential in the game, and can shred characters in a Trio in usually just one mixup. Once a Solo is able to take out some characters on a team, and gain the life lead, it's really really hard for the team to make a comeback.
But playing Solo requires you to have full mastery of your character. Every hit has to count, and you have to be really patient to find your openings.
If someone wants some numbers :
Compared to characters from a 3-team, characters from a 2-team have +15% HP and +30% Damage while a solo character has +105% HP and +50% Damage. These bonuses dont apply if both Teams Are equally big

no not on the 3ds wiiu or switch.
SkullGirls is on Pc [Windows, Mac, Linux], Ps3, Ps4, PsVita, Xbox 360, and can be played on the Xbox1 thanks to it being on the digital backwards compatibility list.
However! The majority of the community is on Pc, it's mostly for ease and the fact that the PC version allows you to use any controller [yes even a gamecube controller] where as the consoles are limited to just Playstation and Xbox style arcade sticks/ pads. Tourneys like Evo and Combo Breaker use the Ps4 so keep that in mind.
