    As a 17 year old, I can say it's happy to see people around my age producing a good video like this 👍🏼 The image is really nice. I own a swsa dslr rig, and I finally understood that exposure time means a lot. I was spending 2 hours on so much different targets. My goal is to get 30h on M81 and M82 rn, I already took 2h so I need 28h. Hopefully my image will be good

      Thanks for watching the video man! It’s been a goal of mine to be someone who is younger to not have people my age be afraid to do something like this even though it seems hard, just trying to pave the way. I’ve always wanted a swsa rig, and that 30 hour project will look insane! Best of luck dude :)

    Nice work, Tanner. Great Astrobackyard setting. As a matter of fact, wow, you got a fantastic view of the sky. Good information and description of the process of making an astro-photo. I notice you have the Player One camera. Is it the Poseidon? Great final image.

      Thank you so much man! The camera is the Player One Artemis C Pro, basically like a 294mc pro equivalent with some more features!

    Great video as usual, a very "Astrobackyard" vibe which I love. You said something about setting up and polar aligning every night, do you tear down your full setup after every session? If I'm imaging the next night I usually just pull the imaging train off the mount and cover the mount up so I don't have to polar align again. But maybe I'm just lazy 😂

    • @astrotan
      @astrotan  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for watching the video man! And yes, I do have to tear down the setup every single night except on weekends. I have school and we have sprinklers that go on during the weekdays and I also don't have a fence so it would get rained on or possibly stolen. I keep my telescope and everything on my entire setup, I can lift the whole thing altogether so that makes things easier and quicker.

      @@astrotanYah, a Trevor "wannabe "😂
      I caught that right away. Well done, to say the least. You're lucky to be afforded the circumstances that alow you to do this at a young age. Have a great time moving forward. You hopefully have a long future in this hobby.

    How can one even afford a telescope of that cost when the expenses of daily life are way over cost...?

    • @astrotan
      @astrotan  ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s an expensive but rewarding hobby. What can I say? It all comes down to how much you want to spend and why.

      @@astrotan what would be a reasonable amount to start with?
      Also theres barely any dark skies near me since everyones loves their new led lights...
