Dude i was just crying myself crazy wonder how in the world i'm going to pass my IB math HL exam and then you came up :) THANK YOU!! is an understatement.
You have a gift for being able to explain difficult concepts in the simplest of terms that countless other people cannot (and charge money for it). (obviously...THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!) -Chris C.
That feeling you get when you've been trying to struggling with something, then finally go to youtube, search for a video by patrickJMT. Knowing you will finally understand. *Priceless*
omg, i had no hope in my IB MATHS and now that i saw this i actually understand it. what ever my teacher tries to explain just goes like a bouncer. Thanks a million! owe big time!
im planning on watching your videos on my exams tommorow since i forgot most of the lessons in 1st quarter.keep on making vids thanks for the help . (ill update this after the exam)
This video is what made me understand this topic for the first time. I had all the resources next to me which did not help at all. However, this video makes everything digestible and easy to learn. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!
Wow i was actually gonna give up on math and eng. until i found this channel. You make it so explicit and clear to follow i'm actually catching pace like never before. God bless you
Thanks a bunch, I understood the Binomial theorem as far as the powers go but was really confused on the coefficients of the terms. This was super useful. Also the fact that you can write lefty on a whiteboard and not smear is pretty dang impressive.
Dude you rock.......you explain things so much better than khan academy.....you should give him a lesson here and there about organization......his explanation is all over the place man....any hoo thanks my man.
@jaybeebee14 i used to be pretty indifferent to it myself (although i never hated it). it tends to be taught in the most boring, useless way (i think). i, myself, am guilty too since i am showing mechanics mostly (but only because this is what matters for your grade)
I think your the best, I tend to understand you very good and I am not a Star at Mathematics, thanks, soo I intend to look you up for other math problems, keep doing what you do and thats being one of the best teachers.
you have zero idea of the lives you are basically SAVING. xD The best thing about your videos is that you don't rush the explanations. It takes me some time to absorb each bit of info for which reason going fast really messes up my focus. So glad you made these vids! The worst math student on earth is gonna pass with flying colours!
You have to come to Singapore one day, man! My entire class failed their Additional Maths class cause we didn't know shit about anything you have in your tutorials! Please be our new Maths teacher.
i had to take Number Theory as an independent study course .... the professor handed me a book and told me to read the first 5 chapters and expect a test by the end of the semester .... I was considering to change my major :( long story short, Patrick has become my at home professor lOl !!! THANK YOU SOOOOOOOO MUCH !!!
Thank you so so much ! I haven't been to figure this out at all until I clicked on to your video! I have a final tomorrow and I totally get this now. Thank you !!!
Thanks a lot :) I'm a GCSE student and we have to do this shit. Our teacher didn't have time to teach us so we got to teach ourselves :/ This is really clear, thanks :)
@az121na Yes you can, and it is a much shorter and easier method if u want a video on that there is a annotation for the video showing how to use a pascal's triangle at 1:10-1:27
For the x+1, why are all the 1s at the end ignored? Like 1 to the 3rd, 1 to the second ect. It still equals one. I'm just confused why they aren't counted
Because multiplying ones by itself always ends up to one still and multiplying ANYTHING with one is always the number itself, so there is no need to write down a one beside every term
I cant believe im expected to do this when no one ever taught me what any of the math words your using to explain this means. My school is a fcking joke
Just started learning combinatorics and this video did way more for my understanding than 3 chapters a textbook filled with mathematical notation. I know it's not practical to explain every single step to the simplest level but filling a book with squiggly lines almost makes math not worth learning for a lot of people.

the fact that this came out before I was even in kindergarten and yet it's saving me in high school
That's the point..... That's why we tutors do what we do
😂exactly

I've found these videos by accident and I love the style of tutoring. Its a pity there is a 10 minute limit. OUTSTANDING JOB!

I like the way you do it. Simple and straight to the point.
@jaybeebee14 i used to be pretty indifferent to it myself (although i never hated it). it tends to be taught in the most boring, useless way (i think). i, myself, am guilty too since i am showing mechanics mostly (but only because this is what matters for your grade)

You are a lifesaver! I will dedicate my math test to you.
Thank you so much. You explained it better in 11 minutes than my teacher did. Thanks!

I LOVE when I Google something math related and one of your videos comes up. I'm just like, "YES! I'll actually understand it now." The end.

Thanks for this, i'm now a topic ahead of schedule :)
hello sir can u plz do this exercise : Find the first 4 terms of expansion of the function 1/(2 - x)^2 using binomial series.
Hi, I just found your site. These videos are great. Thank you for making these available!
I wish my professor taught it like this. Thanks a lot man!
Thank you so much! I have a major test tomorrow and your videos are really helping me!!! :D
So, I havent learn bionomial yet,but wanting to get a head start. I have a question at 6:10. Whats with that?
The 5x4x3x2x1 bla3
that's factorial
u teach so much better than my cancer math teacher
Ted Liang Hahaha I have a cancer teacher as well! He's smart but doesn't know how to teach TF!
Exam Tomorrow and now i'm watching this.

@ChicaMorena94 ha, glad to help : )
Why were wall the other 1's removed apart from the last one in the (x+1)^5 equation?
Is there a way you could like tag the videos you referenced? I'm having trouble finding them...
just impressed from the beginning thanks a lot
THANKS MAN, U ALWAYS HELP ME SO MUCH

Hi Patrick. Do you have a video on factorials?
I finally understood what my professor for combinatorics tried to explain me
Wooo Thank You Patrick! You are a life- saver!
Thanks a lot :) I'm a GCSE student and we have to do this shit. Our teacher didn't have time to teach us so we got to teach ourselves :/ This is really clear, thanks :)

this is a great tutorial!! it helped a lot with my understanding :) thanks!!
This came out when I was 2 years old, and now that I'm 13, this is really helpful
How would you solve if the expression is raised to a negative power?
@az121na
Yes you can, and it is a much shorter and easier method
if u want a video on that there is a annotation for the video showing how to use a pascal's triangle at 1:10-1:27
Hey.. you see in the formula
what does the r mean, and how do i work it out?
Thanks man you really helped me.... I will now score a full mark on this question. Thanks once again.
Thank you this is very helpful to me
clear, concise, and to the point. Thanks a million

THANKS A LOT! So gald there is a video out there that isn't 30 mins long and confusing!

This video was so helpful, thank you! :)
bruh, your a life saver.
amazing! how about 5! devided by 8! how would it be? how to evaluate n? can you pls do an example for this?
I don't understand why you are cancelling out all values of 1.
Surely they are a part of the sum as well?
Please help, very confused!
Thank you for the video, help out a lot, you explained it clearly and understandably, thanks again :)
what would we do without this dude.....

Thanks Patrick JMT
thanks alot sir for such a wonderful video, you made it clear and easy
THank you! this video is very detailed and informing!
thanks for this useful video! I need some more so I hope you can frequently update new more videos! thanks a lot!
@Janette605 its the ! on your calculator. basically it means that n!=n.n-1.n-2. e.g. 3!=3x2x1
