    I use the same technique with warm water. However, I let the prints 100% air dry before I put them in to cure. This avoids any possibility of getting any white crusty residue on the final print.

    • @Groundeffected
      @Groundeffected  ปีที่แล้ว

      This Is true but that whiteness is left over resin if you clean them enough they will never have that white stuff.

      @@Groundeffected I do that since I don't change my IPA as often as I should so my IPA tends to be super saturated. So its me being cheap adding extra time to a process

    I've been struggling with support marks on my prints, I'll try the hot water next time but is there any tools you can recommend like that electric toothbrush sander for the support marks? I'm losing details sanding these out and its driving me nuts. Love your work!

    I've found if you take off the supports as soon as they are done you don't have no burrs on them . But it is messy lol and I go through a box of gloves a month .

    Cool video. Can't wait to see more of your 40k painting amigo. I really love your miniature model painting, I've watched those videos quite a lot... I really want to see you paint some bigger detailed models like the shadowsword tank or baneblade OR print some vehicles that might be proxies in 40k.

    Always enjoy your content, and what a great setup. The hot water is neat too. What do you do with the hot water afterwards? I take it gets contaminated and wouldn't be safe to dispose of down the drain.

    • @Groundeffected
      @Groundeffected  ปีที่แล้ว

      To be honest I’ve cleaned them enough that you technically wouldn’t need gloves after the alcohol. But just to save having to wash hands i use them.

    if you want to try having less liquid messiness involved in your prints, i highly recommend a heat gun. its significantly reduced my clean up time and make my life a lot easier. love the nail spa idea though, great for minis

  • @norret64

    But what do you do with the hot water after the models were in it? It’s toxic isn’t it? Does it go down the drain? Let it evaporate outside?

  • @johnbannister8915

    Hey Mate, great vid! Question, do you get ant warping in your models from the hot water dip? Cheers Mate!

    • @Groundeffected
      @Groundeffected  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It’s very possible! But I don’t use boiling water. That would almost melt them to warp. I just use warm water. And am careful not to bend and twist them too much
