A lot of people grew up playing Call of Duty or something along those lines. Not me. And because I've never gamed I am way TF out of my league and throwing myself to the wolves here in this brand new brutal ass world.
Even though I die and lose all of my sh*t 99.97% of the time I love this game. Trying to hold your own against fully kitted players coming at you with a scoped suppressed SCAR wearing top tier armor while you've basically got a can plucker makes it a little hard to level up. But I like a good challenge.
At the time of this video I'm maybe 60-something hours in to this game. That sounds like a lot to me but I've seen players with thousands of hours.

And the helmet that guy had on was a pilot helmet and it only stops 9 millimeter or pistol rounds so if you know somebody is trying to get you have your gun up and aim for headshots or leg shots if they have armor better then the lbav police vest which is level 2 protection . Hope this helps you on your journey in tabor.
