I would suggest you try out my Slavic-inspired orthography for Lojban, where all letters are the same except: c [ʃ] is š, j [ʒ] is ž, ' [h] is h, *,* [.] is ', . [ʔ] is q and [tʃ] is č So instead of "cutci" it's "šuči", which makes perfect sense for a Slavic person. Then for when you can't type č š ž, using ch, sh, zh as substitutes should be fine, since as far as I can see, no Lojban words has a consonant followed by [h], so "ch, sh, zh" can only refer to the digraphs and not as two separate letters. Finally using capital letter and ending with a dot can be done for the sake of readability. mi ze'a stali ba zu le nu co'a di'i cliva Mi zeha stali ba zu le nu šoha dihi šliva. coi .i'u Šoi qihu.
Surely Esperanto spelling with circumflexed consonants looks even uglier than Lojban? Not to mention typographically awkward. Replacing with an X is easier, but surely even uglier. Also the original comment applies to the contrast between English and Esperanto, but not Votgil and Esperanto.

Switzerland: Although Florida may have some good qualities, it is a net loss state last I checked - it takes more money out of the Federal Tax pool that it generates, depending on other states to pay it's bills on many things. This is true of most Southern States and much of the Midwest and West. The Northeastern States, Alaska and California are the states that put a lot more into the Federal Pool than they take out. Texas, on a good year, is a break even state, and on a bad year (like this one and probably the next 3-4 after the current Hurricane strike) is a loss state as well. This is why states like NY, MA, CA etc get so annoyed with the rest of the country - we're the ones paying the bills and we're also the ones that get hurt when there's a Republican in the White House ever since Nixon.

My language is called pæriçian, and it's a language with romance language grammar, simplified version. The goal is to make an easily translatable, easy to pronounce language for english speakers, while still retaining ties to the romance languages. There are conjugations, but they're really simple. There are feminine and masculine words, but if the first letter is voiced, it's a girl. (this includes nasals, approximants, and lateral approximants) This also applies to possessive words by putting an a at the end if it's a feminine noun and i at the end if it's a masculine noun. To make a verb be in the past, you just add a c or a at the end of the present-conjugated word. Same goes for future, except with a g or o. There are no compound words. So instead of compounding words, you just make an excessive use of the word un (masc) or an (fem). Those two words can also be used if a noun receiving an action has no article. C is either a k or s sound depending on the vowel succeeding it. If it's A, O, U, a consonant, or nothing, then it's a k sound. if it's Æ, I, or Î, then it's an s sound. s is used for vowels A, O, and U, and qu is used for vowels Æ, I, and Î. Plurals are made by adding a d or u at the end, and same goes for the definite articles çli (masc) and çla (fem). There are no diphthongs in pæriçian. To turn a diphthong into a single vowel, just remove the second vowel of the diphthong, and swap the letter as needed. This sounds awesome. I thought of making my own but it was really just English with different rules, more logic structuring, and really looks like code on paper.
If one wants to make a universal language. One should not simplify the language, rather instead make a simple language that has distinct and careful rules which can build and make very complex meanings. Something agglutinative, perhaps. Words can be joined together, with contextual clues, to convey meaning.
Greek should be the official language in the world. It has to much more history from esperanto and instead of its made based on other languages, it makes other languages!

There is no natural language in which ortography isn’t a problem. If it isn’t a problem in Esperanto right now, it would unavoidably become one once enough people started speaking it, as the way some words are pronounced would change over time, while the writing wouldn’t chage much. And of course, different people would pronounce the same words differently, and that difference would only increase over time. A language can only have an ortography that truly represents how words should be spoken if it’s never actually used for communication.
There are actually, Serbian and Italian are probably the easiest languages on pronunciation since words are pronounced exactly how you write and speak without exception in the whole language, Spanish has a bunch of exceptions even tho it follows the same philosophy like Mexico or when the Z sounds like an actual Z instead of an S or TH sound
1:30 note about that, crane (tool) was named after the bird which is a cultural issue not a linguistic one. the same goes for plane (aero) because they were named by how many /planar wings/ they had, and the monoplane or aeroplane became standard at max efficiency.

This language aims to be spoken internationally but is based in English. AND, to top it all off, the grayscale dots are absolutely not suitable for writing, so you chose it to be used in Minecraft?! I think the idea is great, and the alphabet, while unusual, could be gotten used to. My main issue is your use of the o umlaut (ö) to represent the sound /ɒ/ as in "lot" when often the Ö is pronounced much more like the vowel in "bird", /ɜ/
also i made a logography that spans under 100 words and is technically linguistically complete, with most logograms being intuitive representations we are all familiar with (within is a dot inside a fat U, and without is a dot under the same U, container is a line below that U, and shelter is an upside-down U which all act as conjugations of the idea of an enclosed space)
It’s ok, but here’s what I would change: - Change the alphabet to anything but grayscale. - Make spaces mandatory. It looks ugly when all the words are smooshed together. - Add more pronouns and proper nouns. - Base your vocabulary off of other languages.
What's the purpose of your language? is it to be an universal auxiliary language? or to be easy to learn to people who speaks english? because some of the arguments you use are valid from the point of view of an aglophone. For example Poemo doesn't seem awkward to me because in spanish we say Poema. But you're right, Niether English or Esperanto are perfect or easy to learn for everybody, and I also liked some things about Vötgil too. Greetings :)
That's only because english speakers know what words you're saying. If you know the entire vocabulary, that's fine. It's easier to learn without spaces if the words are a constant length, because if you get lost you can always find the next 3-letter cluster.
I've also made something like this called "Renglish", that focused more on being mutually intelligible and a viable alternative to English; not much learning is needed from both natives and second language speakers.
OK, what I got out of that spiel was that it differs from Basic English by having a gray scale script in addition to a human free hand writing system. Wouldn't it have the same problems translating Hegel , Heidegger and William Borroughs as Basic English, could do it but along with puns there goes lack of ambiguity/ Would not any spoken language develope divergent meanings for words after prolonged use because of metaphors?
I think declension and conjugation is what reduces the amout of word drastically. You can just make new ones, with different meanings by conjugating them, without makeing a completely new one.

Agree with compound words. Lojban have about 1300 gismu (root words) but them can be put together to form lujvo (compound words).

A note about your pet peeve with get- you're looking at literal meanings with very minute differences. It's conveying a concept of "having" or "owning," if you can understand that it becomes significantly easier to learn the usage.

I made a language called Igerdik. It's a mix of Icelandic, German, and Swedish.

What use is it to English speakers to learn an English-based conlanguage. Why would speakers of other languages want to learn an English based conlanguage. From the perspective of both a native and a non-English speaker your language is rather uninteresting for a auxiliary language, unless it is created and used only for entertainment purposes, I think.
well I mean, the grammar is basic enough for anyone to understand, spelling wouldn't be an issue, nor would pronunciation, and English is a Germanic language; much like Swedish, German, Dutch, and Danish.
TL:DR It's easy for anyone, especially so for Germanic speakers.

400 is hyperbole, but they do have a ton of meanings.
Are these letters: "Đ" "Ö" can type any kind of keyboard, easily?
I ask, because I have a Hungarian keyboard and not problem to me typing those (Ö is part of the Hun alphabet so I just push the button, and Đ I can make AltGr+d) but what about an English keyboard? Or languages which don't use latin abc instead of cirill alphabet like Bulgarian, Russian? Or Japan? Do you can type easy as like me those letters? Do you need some hard configuration the keyboard to do this?
If the answer is No my first question and Yes my second then I think this Vötgil is not the best choose as an universal second language...

I've already got Esperanto on my plate and possibly Lojban for the future but this does look cool and I wish you and it good progress.

I thought of making my own but it was really just English with different rules, more logic structuring, and really looks like code on paper.
If one wants to make a universal language. One should not simplify the language, rather instead make a simple language that has distinct and careful rules which can build and make very complex meanings. Something agglutinative, perhaps. Words can be joined together, with contextual clues, to convey meaning.

I think the irrelavancy of spaces can make it more organized. You can add spaces wherever! You can seperate groups of text anywhere.
Greek should be the official language in the world. It has to much more history from esperanto and instead of its made based on other languages, it makes other languages!

Right. So there is approx a 100,00 or so words in the English Language that are Nouns. Pretty sure the 600 word vocabulary is insufficient to cover them all, especially in 3 letter combinations from an English style alphabet (which is implied by the video). Even with small compound words (which appear at first glance to be made of two word combos like : "VötByf" (anti before) means after

lot of english words are more than 3 letters long so i would make cluster indicated by a . or something like instead of gil, you would have ini.lish or something like that. also different writing system would be better

Yes, do this. I think every language should create their own version of Votgil, it could help TREMENDOUSLY in helping make languages easier to learn.

There is no natural language in which ortography isn’t a problem. If it isn’t a problem in Esperanto right now, it would unavoidably become one once enough people started speaking it, as the way some words are pronounced would change over time, while the writing wouldn’t chage much. And of course, different people would pronounce the same words differently, and that difference would only increase over time.
A language can only have an ortography that truly represents how words should be spoken if it’s never actually used for communication.
There are actually, Serbian and Italian are probably the easiest languages on pronunciation since words are pronounced exactly how you write and speak without exception in the whole language, Spanish has a bunch of exceptions even tho it follows the same philosophy like Mexico or when the Z sounds like an actual Z instead of an S or TH sound

They are basically the same but different
1:30 note about that, crane (tool) was named after the bird which is a cultural issue not a linguistic one. the same goes for plane (aero) because they were named by how many /planar wings/ they had, and the monoplane or aeroplane became standard at max efficiency.

Dis video inspired me to make my own language. I started a year ago and got bored. however, I have rebooted work on it today because it wasnt finished

AND, to top it all off, the grayscale dots are absolutely not suitable for writing, so you chose it to be used in Minecraft?! Do you expect people to communicate through a game? It's a real hassle!

I think the idea is great, and the alphabet, while unusual, could be gotten used to. My main issue is your use of the o umlaut (ö) to represent the sound /ɒ/ as in "lot" when often the Ö is pronounced much more like the vowel in "bird", /ɜ/

also i made a logography that spans under 100 words and is technically linguistically complete, with most logograms being intuitive representations we are all familiar with (within is a dot inside a fat U, and without is a dot under the same U, container is a line below that U, and shelter is an upside-down U which all act as conjugations of the idea of an enclosed space)

- Change the alphabet to anything but grayscale.
- Make spaces mandatory. It looks ugly when all the words are smooshed together.
- Add more pronouns and proper nouns.
- Base your vocabulary off of other languages.

What's the purpose of your language? is it to be an universal auxiliary language? or to be easy to learn to people who speaks english? because some of the arguments you use are valid from the point of view of an aglophone. For example Poemo doesn't seem awkward to me because in spanish we say Poema. But you're right, Niether English or Esperanto are perfect or easy to learn for everybody, and I also liked some things about Vötgil too. Greetings :)

That's only because english speakers know what words you're saying. If you know the entire vocabulary, that's fine. It's easier to learn without spaces if the words are a constant length, because if you get lost you can always find the next 3-letter cluster.

I've also made something like this called "Renglish", that focused more on being mutually intelligible and a viable alternative to English; not much learning is needed from both natives and second language speakers.
OK, what I got out of that spiel was that it differs from Basic English by having a gray scale script in addition to a human free hand writing
system. Wouldn't it have the same problems translating Hegel , Heidegger and William Borroughs as Basic English, could do it but along with puns there goes lack of ambiguity/ Would not any spoken language develope divergent meanings for words after prolonged use because of metaphors?

I think declension and conjugation is what reduces the amout of word drastically. You can just make new ones, with different meanings by conjugating them, without makeing a completely new one.
