I think we forget just how strong Emilia is, as a child she instantly killed Pandora multiple times and froze solid an entire forest, she made short work of one of petelguese fingers without seeing the unseen hands, and now she would have easily defited Sirius if not for the fact that she couldn’t harm her or everybody else would die and the fact that she pulled up an hostage as a human shield
29:00 I'm pretty sure Subaru can't use magic by himself, because his gate was broken forever, but Beako can use his mana to cast spells. If you think about it, it was a big upgrade, since he could only make defective shamaks, now through Beako he can use many spells.
To give some clarification the sword Reinhardt has can't be draw not because of Reinhardt own ego, but the sword literally can't be drawn unless the sword deems their opponent worthy enough. The sword kinda has it's own autonomy and will call for Reinhardt when to be unsheathed. Reinhardt possesses the dragon sword, Reid, one of the 10 legendry swords of power. Only the current holder of the blessing of the sword saint can wield it. Priscilla wields the Yang sword, which is also a legends sword of power, that has its own history that ties back to her origins.

Here are two small details and something they changed in the anime First detail is the new technique Emilia's using, named by Subaru "Ice Brand Arts" consists of forging weapons of ice meant to be destroyed shortly after being used. This uses a lot of mana and Emilia has to have a clear picture in mind of what she wants to create. Subaru's whip was made from the creature they fought in arc 4, the one that looked like a lion that was in the mansion, The Guiltylowe. He named his new weapon Guiltywhip. The first loop of this episode where he goes to the tower alone, his death in the light novel was gruesome, but the studio of the anime found a way to make it even MORE gruesome. After feeling that amplified fear he vomited and fell to the floor besides Lusbel, choking in his own vomit, vomiting again and again, to the point that "every repeated shallow breath led to the bursting of a yellow bubble" until he died (probably by a heart attack caused by the extreme fear). But watching that scene in the anime, hanged and without fingers, not being able to breath because of the chain, blood and vomit. That almost made me vomit too. Awesome episode as always, people in the comments mentioned great info as well :D
Season 3 prologue concludes, the arc begins! - The Sirius = Fortuna theory is one of the big theories of the Re Zero novel community, so it’s not too far off to connect the thoughts. Me & many others who first read arc 5 came to the same conclusion. - Good analysis on your thoughts on Pandora’s ability & what she could have done. Given how broken her authority is lol - Personally as a Re Zero Novel reader, I honestly want more & longer videos. Wanting to hear thoughts & theories from great reactors such as yourself, is mostly something I came here for. - Arc 5 is going to be way more action packed. It’s only going to get better from here - Also funny how you said that Season 3 (Arc 5) feels like the final season for Re Zero when technically it’s the actual first season of the series. Arc 1-3 (S1) was the prologue, Arc 4 sanctuary (S2) was more of a elden ring side quest from the main story mostly building characters up & planting seeds for future arcs while season 3 Is the ACTUAL first season LOL. Arc 4 wasn’t a sidequest and calling it such is a massive disservice to it. It’s almost universally considered to be the best or now (due to Arc 6) second best arc of the series. Arc 4 not only gave massive pay offs and lore surrounding the Witches of Sin, but also served as the culmination of the conflict of the first three arcs. We learn that Roswaal was the one behind the events of Arcs 1 and 3, and that Meili was the mastermind behind Arc 2. We learned that he’s a disciple of the Witch of Greed who follows a true gospel and knows about Subaru’s Authority, and so orchestrated a seemingly impossible situation for Subaru so that he’d be forced to make sacrifices. We see Emilia’s past, and Beatrice’s too; multiple of our major characters (Emilia, Betty, Ram, Otto, Garf) all get massive character development and their own major arcs that are pivotal to the Sanctuary being freed. Betty overcoming her depression was also a massive character moment, and explained her behaviour in the first season. Even Subaru found closure about his parents at the very start, and he had his biggest character development moment afterwards (learning to love himself and not rely on RBD). The location itself is really important; not only is it the resting place of the Witch of Greed and important spot within the Mathers domain, but the conflict of freeing it ties directly into the third arc. After all, Roswaal was missing for the duration of Arc 3, and Ram had to take half of the Irlam villagers to the Sanctuary. Arc 4 is not some sidequest. It doesn’t matter that it was very different to what some people expected after Rem’s name and memories were eaten; it is narratively the most important arc in the story, as it simultaneously concluded the conflict of the story’s first quarter while also shaping the direction it would go in future arcs.
Emilia has no chill, E.M.T. everyday. My theory about Sirius is that's a spirit that possessed Fortuna's dead body, maybe a spirit as old as Geuse that knew him from before. Mainly because the way her body moves is fuc*ed up, kind of like what Geuse could do.
Amazing episode. That tower death had to be one of the best scenes I have seen in general. Everything was done great. The directing, voice acting, atmosphere, every single thing.
Fun fact Reinhardt technically IS affected by Sirius authority he just resists it, but given enough time, he can fall under her control. (He just can kill her easy before that.) Tappa has said if an authority blessing clash. Authorities win. Theresa had a blessing of the grim reaper where any wounds she makes don't heal, Minerva can heal anything, Tappa has said in a clash, Minerva would heal wounds made by Theresa. Reinhardt is op without the blessings he has. They are just bonuses.

I think Wrath might be a spirit possessing Fortuna's body. Petelgeuse was a spirit doing the same thing after all, he even possesed Subaru. This is just a theory of course, but I was thinking it already from the previous episode and the fact that her Witch Factor has to do with spiritual interference just reinforces it for me... But I may be falling into confirmation bias LOL

She's an elf Has silver hair Purple irises Is in love with Petelgeuse (they both have feelings for each other iirc, or at the very least, they're super close) Also Sirius uses and is very good with fire magic. Iirc, in Re:Zero, fire magic is also responsible for Ice Magic (cause fire magic is about controlling temperatures or something like that) and Fortuna, assuming based on her performance against Pandora, she looking to be very good at using Fire magic as well. Also probably a very weird stretch but Fortuna doesn't seem to hesitate in lashing out at an individual she absolutely despises and is dangerous like how she did against Pandora the moment she appeared. (which is kinda similar to how Sirius is immediately ready to throw hands upon seeing Emilia which I guess is someone she absolutely hates.) Lastly, Fortuna died near Emilia, so it does stand out to me how there's no mention about it after Emilia was freed from her slumber. I mean, unless someone went to Emilia's freezing site and took Pandora's body, shouldn't it be nearby still? :0

I just love Beako, she slowly became one of my favorites, if not my favorite character of the show… I adore how her personality and also how her relationship with Subaru evolved: when she said: “You don’t need to tell me how or when you learned about it… Just the fact that you told me is all the proof I need…”, man that was beautiful… It just shows how much faith and trust she has in Subaru (and also viceversa) and how much chemistry there is between them (they understand each other with one simple look) P.S. They started to remind me so much of a “couple” from my favorite anime of all time😍❤️
I don't like a lot of theories like Fortuna being Sirius and similar ones of x being y. Not because there isnt evidence to support them, there is, but because they are too obvious and would diminish and hurt established characters. Not only that, theories like that are would be really hard to write properly. If anything, I believe the author creates these characters as foils or counterparts to make readers speculate since x being y would make the work too derivative if not properly executed.
